    Abstract: A method is disclosed for determining flow measurement values of a Coriolis mass flowmeter in the presence of a two-phase flow of a two-phase medium having a gas phase and the subsequent presence of a single-phase flow of a single-phase medium not having a gas phase. The method includes: detecting a start time of a two-phase measurement interval at an onset of the two-phase flow; detecting an end time of the two-phase measurement interval at an end of the presence of the two-phase flow; determining and at least partially storing two-phase flow measurement values of the two-phase flow; determining at least one state variable of the single-phase medium; determining subsequently corrected two-phase flow measurement values as at least indirect input variables of a correction calculation; and outputting the corrected two-phase flow measurement values as individual values or as part of a cumulative flow measurement value.

    Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for monitoring and determining characteristics of wounds on a subject are disclosed. A monitoring device includes an imaging component and a computing device communicatively coupled to the imaging component. The imaging component includes a light emitting component that emits light at a calibrated wavelength, a laser emitting device, and an imaging device. The computing device directs the light emitting component to emit the light at the calibrated wavelength, directs the imaging component to cause the laser emitting device to emit a laser projection toward the wound, receives, from the imaging component, image data captured by the imaging device, determines, from the image data, the characteristics of the wound, and scores the wound based on the characteristics of the wound to obtain a wound score. The characteristics include one or more of a size of the wound, a type of tissue, and an amount of exudate.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a system and a method for desulfurization and denitrification of an alumina calcination flue gas, and a use. The system comprises an ozone generator, a red mud pre-impregnation slurry scrubbing tower, and a red mud pre-impregnation tank and a red mud pre-impregnation clear liquid scrubbing tower. NOx in a flue gas is oxidized into a high valence oxynitride by ozone, and with the red mud as an absorbent, the synergistic absorption of SO2 and NOx in the flue gas is achieved, while the dealkalization of the red mud is achieved. By means of the synergistic catalytic oxidation of metal ions such as Fe3+ in a red mud slurry and ozone, the synergistic absorption of sulfur and oxynitride is prompted; and the use of a structure of staged absorption in two towers overcomes the problem of the difficulty in absorbing NO2 with a low O3/NOx molar ratio.

    Abstract: A variety of polyhedral nanocages are provided having a hollow interior, ultrathin walls, and well-defined facets of metal atoms. The nanocages can include a variety of precious metals such as Pt, Au, Ru, Rh, or Ir. The metal atoms can take a face-centered cubic structure with {111} facets on the surface. The walls can be thin, sometimes less than 1 nm in thickness or only a few atomic layers in thickness. The nanocages can provide for efficient uses of valuable precious metals, among other things, in catalysis. For example, catalysts are provided exhibiting high mass activities in oxygen reduction reactions. Methods of making and methods of using the nanocages and catalysts are also provided.
