    Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure disclose methods and systems for dispensing a reagent into a sample well and efficiently extracting the dispensed reagent from the sample well after the reagent is used for detecting molecules in a sample. The amount of probe reagents dispensed may be no more than what is needed to immerse the sample and allow effective probing of the sample by the probes in the reagent.
