Publication number: 20140237414Abstract: In some implementations, a system causes a set of main tabs to be displayed at a first portion of a display. The system is configured to receive a user selection of a selected main tab. In response, the system causes a set of secondary tabs to be displayed at a second portion of the display. The system is configured to receive user input to manipulate the secondary tabs causing a rearrangement of the secondary tabs into a new order and/or causing one or more of the secondary tabs to be hidden. Based on the user input, the system causes the manipulated set of secondary tabs to be displayed and stores information defining the manipulated set of secondary tabs. Upon a subsequent access by the user of a database object associated with the selected main tab, the system causes the manipulated set of secondary tabs to be displayed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2014Publication date: August 21, 2014Applicant: salesforce.com, inc.Inventors: Margaret Law, Rashmi Channarayapattna, Jason Ellis, Anshu Agarwal, Xuefeng Wang

Patent number: 8751939Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying tab elements representing viewable page elements. A set of one or more main tabs are displayed on a first portion of a display, each main tab defining a link to a database object stored in a database. A user selection of a first one of the main tabs is received (e.g., to determine which tab provides default display), and two or more side tabs are displayed in a first, default order on a second portion of the display, each said side tab defining a link to an element or portion of a first object. In certain aspects, a user selection of a new order for the two or more side tabs is received, and thereafter the two or more side tabs are displayed in the new order, and the new order is stored to the database, wherein upon later access of the first object by the user, the two or more side tabs are automatically displayed in the new order.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2011Date of Patent: June 10, 2014Assignee: salesforce.com, inc.Inventors: Margaret Law, Rashmi Channarayapattna, Jason Ellis, Anshu Agarwal, Xuefeng Wang

Publication number: 20140123787Abstract: An infinitely variable transmission (IVT) to provide a continuous output-to-input speed ratio from zero to a certain value is designed, and its working principle is illustrated. It is a geared IVT (GIVT), since its function to achieve the continuously varied speed ratio is implemented by gears. Crank-slider systems are used in the GIVT; the output-to-input speed ratio is changed with the crank length. Racks and pinions, whose motion is controlled by planetary gear sets, are used to change the crank length when the cranks are rotating. One-way bearings are used to rectify the output speeds from different crank-slider systems to obtain the output speed of the GIVT. Since the crank-slider systems can introduce variations of the instantaneous speed ratio, a pair of noncircular gears is designed to minimize the variations. A direction control system is also designed for the GIVT using planetary gear sets.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2013Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: University of Maryland, Baltimore CountyInventors: Weidong ZHU, Xuefeng Wang

Patent number: 8663731Abstract: A detachable framework used for winding optical fiber coils and a method of producing optical fiber coils with this framework. A framework with a suitable structure is designed considering comprehensively three factors, i.e., the window ratio of an optical fiber coil, the precision of an optical fiber gyro and the easy detachment of the framework from the optical fiber coil. A surface treatment with the framework is performed by coating a layer of thermosol on the surface of the framework so the optical fiber coil can be easily detached from the framework after curing. The required length of optical fiber is winded around the optical fiber coil framework, accompanying with vacuum pressure impregnating with curing adhesive after winding and optical fiber coil curing subsequently. The framework is taken off from the optical fiber coil under the heating circumstances, thereby completing production of the non-framework optical fiber coil.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2009Date of Patent: March 4, 2014Assignee: Beijing Aerospace Times Optical-Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.Inventors: Wei Wang, Jing Li, Qingsheng Yang, Xuefeng Wang, Jinquan Tan

Patent number: 8315139Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for recording micro-holograms in a holographic disk. Disk tilting or disk imperfections may cause counter-propagating recording and reference beams to deviate from the target data position in the disk. In some embodiments, a tracking beam is directed to a tracking position in the disk, and deviation of the tracking beam from the tracking position may indicate tracking and/or focusing errors of the recording and/or reference beams. A detector may generate an error signal in response to such errors. A first servo-mechanical system may actuate a first optical head (e.g., transmitting the reference and tracking beams) to compensate for such errors, and a second servo-mechanical system may actuate a second optical head (e.g., transmitting the recording beam) to follow the actuation of the first servo system, such that an interference of the reference beam and the recording beam may be maintained in the target data position.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2010Date of Patent: November 20, 2012Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: Zhiyuan Ren, Xiaolei Shi, Victor Petrovich Ostroverkhov, Xuefeng Wang
