    Abstract: A method of determining a network parameter in a telecommunication system is disclosed. The system has a coverage area including at least two sub-areas, and also includes a User Equipment (UE) being in idle mode and being registered in at least two of these sub-areas. According to the present disclosure, a network node in the system receives from the UE a time information relating to the time periods the UE has been present in each of the at least two sub-areas it is registered in, respectively, and then this time information is utilized to determine a network parameter in the system.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a random access method for user equipment (UE) in time division synchronization code division multiple access (TD-SCDMA) communication system, including the following steps: (a) the system broadcasts the configured ASC and the configuration information thereof to the UE, the UE records these information; (b) the MAC of the UE sends RACH transmission request to the physical layer, the physical layer selects one RACH; (c) the physical layer of the UE randomly selects an uplink synchronization code and an uplink synchronization sub-channel; (d) after the physical layer of the UE transmits the selected uplink synchronization code in the uplink pilot time slot corresponding to the selected uplink synchronization sub-channel, if the UE receives the access confirmation message from the network, the UE completes the uplink synchronization and selects PRACH to send out the message, otherwise, the access to the network is re-performed.

    Abstract: A channel for multicarrier high speed downlink packet access and a method for allocating the carrier resource include: the wireless network controller configures the multicarrier high speed downlink packet access resource of a multicarrier cell, the multicarrier high speed downlink packet access resource includes the high speed physical downlink shared channel resource, the high speed shared control channel and the high speed shared information channel pair resource. The resource is managed and allocated by the node B. The wireless network controller allocates the associated—dedicated physical channel according to the recorded original configuration information and original allocation information of each carrier, and sends the configuration information to the node B, then the node B allocates the high speed physical downlink shared channel carrier resource, the associated high speed shared control channel and the high speed shared information channel pair resource.
