  • Patent number: 11531317
Abstract: Intelligence guided system and method for fruits and vegetables processing includes a conveyor for carrying produces, various image acquiring and processing hardware and software, water and air jets for cutting and controlling the position and orientation of the produces, and a networking hardware and software, operating in synchronism in an efficient manner to attain speed and accuracy of the produce cutting and high yield and low waste produces processing. The 2nd generation strawberry decalyxing system (AVID2) uniquely utilizes a convolutional neural network (AVIDnet) supporting a discrimination network decision, specifically, on whether a strawberry is to be cut or rejected, and computing a multi-point cutline curvature to be cut along by rapid robotic cutting tool.

  • Publication number: 20220230669
Abstract: A topological spin memory effect, defined as the recovery of magnetic skyrmions or magnetic bubble skyrmions in magnetic thin films after a transition to a dramatically different spin texture, is used for encrypted non-volatile information storage. The storage strategy is based on magnetic skyrmions, that is, topologically protected spin textures comprising chiral domain walls surrounding small (e.g., nanometers to microns in diameter), typically circular, single-domain cores. Systems and methods are described for encrypted non-volatile information storage based on a spin memory effect in magnetic thin films that support skyrmions. Systems and methods encrypt and recover information stored in the form of magnetic skyrmions.

  • Patent number: 9087381
Abstract: A method and apparatus for extracting surface representation from images and video data for segmenting image plane according to the surface connectivity, and identifying areas of images taken by a moving camera according to the object surfaces wherefrom the areas of images are taken, are disclosed. The invention discloses a method and apparatus comprising a plurality of processing modules for extracting from images in a video sequence the occluding contours delineating images into regions in accordance with the spatial connectivity of the correspondent visible surfaces, and diffeomorphism relations between areas of images taken from different perspective centers for identifying image areas of different frames as of the surface of same object, and specifying the fold contours of the surfaces that owns the contour, and thus producing the surface representations from video images taken from persistent objects by a moving camera.

  • Publication number: 20120008868
Abstract: A video image event attention and analysis system comprising a video image input means, an event attention means, an event report means and a method comprising numerous steps of processes is provided for automatically detecting, analyzing, classifying events from input video image sequences. The changes in the event happen at some small part of visual world embedded in a largely persistent environment. Visual events are characterized through such duality. Accordingly, the method of this invention comprises processes first extracting features of the persistent environment and features of active agents, both are event specific, in separated channels, each followed by a corresponding recognition process, one for environment and one for active agents, and then the dynamical system of their coupling, particular their movements against environment and against each other, are analyzed and results are synthesized and interpreted in a process of hierarchical event classification.
