    Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a device for security-inspection of liquid articles with dual-energy CT imaging. The method comprises the steps of obtaining one or more CT images including physical attributes of liquid article to be inspected by CT scanning and a dual-energy reconstruction method; acquiring the physical attributes of each liquid article from the CT image; and determining whether the inspected liquid article is dangerous based on the physical attributes. The CT scanning can be implemented by a normal CT scanning technique, or a spiral CT scanning technique. In the normal CT scanning technique, the scan position can be preset, or set by the operator with a DR image, or set by automatic analysis of the DR image.

The system according to the present invention comprises a moveable scanning apparatus formed by a scanning frame and a remote control device, wherein the scanning frame comprises a radiation source and some detectors, wherein the radiation source or an apparatus cabin wherein the radiation source is disposed is connected with an L-shaped cantilever structure to form a door-type scanning frame, wherein beneath the radiation source or the apparatus cabin wherein the radiation source is disposed are provided with rollers that can reciprocatingly move on rails and are controlled by drive means. The detectors are disposed in a cross beam and a vertical beam of the cantilever structure of the door-type scanning frame. Rays of the radiation source are right in alignment with rows of detectors in the cantilever structure.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system of material identification using binocular steroscopic and multi-energy transmission image. With the method, any obstacle that dominates the ray absorption can be peeled off from the objects that overlap in the direction of a ray beam. The object that is unobvious due to a relatively small amount of ray absorption will thus stand out, and the material property of the object, such as organic, mixture, metal and the like can be identified. This method lays a fundament for automatic identification of harmful objects, such as explosive, drugs, etc., concealed in a freight container.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of discriminating materials by employing fast neutron and continuous spectral X-ray and an equipment for the same. The method comprising the steps of: (a) transmitting a fast neutron beam produced by a fast neutron source and a continuous spectral X-ray beam produced by a continuous spectral X-ray source through inspected objects; (b) directly measuring the intensity of the transmitted X-rays and the intensity of the transmitted neutrons by a X-ray detector array and a neutron detector array respectively; and (c) identifying the materials of the inspected object by Z-dependency curves formed by the attenuation differences between the neutron beam and X-ray beam transmitted through different materials of the inspected object. This direct measurement of transmitted dual-ray technique has much more efficient than secondary radiations measurement such as neutron activation analysis, has much more material discrimination sensitivity than dual-energy x-ray technique.
