  • Publication number: 20210161096
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a device for handling an animal waste deposited by an animal. The device includes a device base comprising a receptacle and a chamber located on the device base that is rotatable about an axis of rotation. The chamber includes a chamber opening being operable as an ingress for the animal to deposit the animal waste when the chamber is in a first position and being operable as a waste opening for dumping the animal waste to the receptacle when the chamber is in a second position, and a partition located within the chamber. The partition includes one or more screen sections, each having one or more screen openings thereon, and at least one non-opening section being connected to an interior wall of the chamber. The non-opening section and the interior wall of the chamber form a trough for temporarily storing a litter material.

  • Publication number: 20200060221
Abstract: A litter collection device for sifting animal waste using an improved sifting method is disclosed. The present invention provides a device comprising a device base and a chamber. The device base comprises a receptacle. The chamber located on the device base is filled with a litter material and receives the animal waste. The chamber is rotatable about an axis of rotation and further comprises a chamber opening and a partition. The chamber opening is operable as an ingress and an egress for the animal to deposit the animal waste, and is also operable as a waste opening for dumping the animal waste to the receptacle. The partition comprises screen sections and non-opening sections. The chamber is rotated such that the litter material passes through the screen sections and enters a trough, and the animal waste is kept out of the trough and dropped to the receptacle by the gravitational force.

  • Publication number: 20190343066
Abstract: A sifting device having four sieve-like layers for separating an unsoiled litter material from an animal waste comprises at least two nested trays configured to stack together. Each nested tray comprises a first screen tray and a second screen tray stackable and rotatable to each other, and each of the first and second screen trays has a base with a plurality of openings thereon. Each individual opening is sized to permit the unsoiled litter material to pass through, and to prevent the animal waste from passing through. The openings on the screen trays are arranged in a concentric, circular and intermittent manner. By rotating the screen tray, the sifting device can allow the unsoiled litter material to pass through or form an imperforate base by blocking all the openings. This provides an advantage of operation simplicity with minimized risk of clogging.

  • Publication number: 20160381271
Abstract: A handheld stabilizer for automatically stabilizing a camera device, such as a smartphone, when the camera device is mounted on the stabilizer is provided. The stabilizer comprises a camera device mount for holding the camera device, a plurality of motors collectively arranged to cause the camera device mount to be rotatable about three predetermined substantially-orthogonal axes, an inertial-measurement unit (IMU) sensor for measuring an angle and an angular velocity experienced by the camera device about each of the three axes, and a controller. By means of the IMU sensor, an attitude of the camera device is measured. The controller is configured to estimate an attitude error of the camera device according to the measured attitude, and to automatically control the plurality of motors in response to the attitude error so as to controllably rotate the camera device about each of the three axes to counter the attitude error.
