  • Patent number: 9099509
Abstract: A tray carrier system having a tray loading position, a tray off-loading position, and four parallel rails extending from the tray loading position to the tray off-loading position. A tray carrier platform is disposed on each rail, where each tray carrier platform is configured to move along the rail on which it is disposed between the tray loading position and the tray off-loading position. Each tray carrier platform includes a carriage for engaging the rail, swing arms attached to the carriage, retaining pieces attached to the swing arms for selectively retaining and releasing a tray, and means for moving the swing arms between an open position and a closed position. The retaining pieces retain the tray at a tray level when the swing arms are in the closed position, and release the tray and are disposed entirely below the tray level when the swing arms are in the open position.

  • Publication number: 20020016776
Abstract: The method and apparatus for distributing digital content includes a local storage medium, a local digital content reader, a remote digital content enabler, and a transmission medium. The local digital content reader transmits a request signal through the transmission medium to the remote digital content enabler requesting an enabler signal to unlock the digital content stored on the local storage medium. The remote digital content enabler processes the request signal and then transmits the enabler signal back to the local digital content reader. The enabler signal enables the local digital content reader to read at least one of the digital contents stored on the local storage medium.

  • Patent number: 5541584
Abstract: A remote control for operating a combination ceiling fan and light fixture features a system for communicating command signals to a fan mounted controls over an existing load line. A remote control features two switches for control of a ceiling fan and associated light fixture. Each switch connects a different Zener diode into the load line to produce a fixed predetermined voltage drop. A control mounted in the ceiling fan detects these voltage drops and controls fan speed and light intensity accordingly. The remote control and the fan mounted control communicate over the 60 Hz power line between the remote control and the ceiling fan. The remote control connects in series with the load line of the ceiling fan.

  • Patent number: 5500050
Abstract: A detergent dispenser controller for use with a washing device, such as a dishwasher, that measures detergent concentration in a water tank by measuring the conductivity of the detergent solution in the water tank. The detergent controller automatically learns the feed rate of the detergent dispenser used, regardless of the type of detergent dispenser being used. For each detergent feed cycle, the controller computes a Feed Factor equal to the amount of detergent feed on time required for each unit increase in the detergent concentration, which is the inverse of the detergent feed rate. The controller stores the computed Feed Factor for the last N feed cycles in a non-volatile memory, and computes a running average of the N feed factors stored in the non-volatile memory. Whenever the detergent dispenser is powered on, it determines the difference between the measured wash tank detergent concentration and a specified detergent concentration set point value.

  • Patent number: 5494061
Abstract: A liquid chemical dispensing system for dispensing a plurality of liquid chemicals into a dishwasher includes at least a detergent pump and a rinse agent pump, a first switch indicating whether the dishwasher is a door type or a conveyor type dishwasher, a second switch indicating whether the controller is in training mode or in run mode, a non-volatile memory and a data processor. The liquid chemical dispensing system is powered on whenever the dishwasher is spraying rinse water. In the training mode, the data processor enables a user to set values for a rinse run time parameter, a detergent run time parameter, and a rinse delay time, and stores those parameters in the non-volatile memory.
