  • Publication number: 20080237038
Abstract: The invention discloses a biostrip for the determination of the health condition or disease infection of an organism. The biostrip of the invention comprises at least an insulating baseboard and a capillary channel. Said insulating baseboard has at least one surface and a printed electrode is disposed on the surface. Moreover, said capillary channel is disposed above the insulating baseboard and has at least two ends on which at least one fixation reaction area and an exhaust channel of at least one direction are disposed respectively. The exhaust channel is formed by making use of the thickness and the shape of the back gum. Therefore, the biostrip of the invention can retain the advantage of the siphon type test strip of requiring a micro-amount of sample and also avoid the complicated production process thereof.

  • Publication number: 20080167976
Abstract: The present invention discloses a management system and method for a biostrip. The management method is applicable to a biomedical measurement device to manage at least one biostrip. The management method comprises the following steps: inputting at least one piece of setting data of the biostrip; generating a count reference value based on the time of the inputted setting data, data content or combinations thereof; monitoring the expiration date of the biostrip corresponding to the count of the count reference value, and it further comprises displaying the current date, the expiration date of the biostrip, the amount of strips, the first opening date or combinations thereof. When the expiration date of the biostrip has passed, a user is then reminded to avoid using the expired biostrip.

  • Publication number: 20070106125
Abstract: A biosensor capable of setting standard measuring values includes a detecting unit coupled with an analog-to-digital converting unit, and the analog-to-digital converting unit is coupled to a processor, and the processor is coupled separately with a setting unit, a display unit, a data storage unit, a reminding unit, and a power supply unit, such that when the detecting unit examines biological testing body, the analog-to-digital converting unit converts test information into a digital data. In the meantime, the processor retrieves the standard values prestored in the data storage unit for a comparison. After the data is processed, the data is displayed by the display unit and the reminding unit. In the meantime, users can use the setting unit to change the default settings of the standard values.

  • Publication number: 20070068806
Abstract: A biosensor strip having an identification function includes a first insulating substrate and a second insulating substrate, and the first substrate is deposited on the second substrate, and the first substrate has an electrode and an identifying electrode area, and the electrode and identifying electrode area are exposed from the second substrate. The identifying electrode area is made by coating an electrically conductive material. Since different conductive materials have different impedances, the conductive material can be changed according to different testing applications or different sensing instruments.

  • Publication number: 20070062811
Abstract: A bioelectrochemical sensor strip capable of taking trace samples includes an insulating substrate, a reacting area protruded from the edge of the insulating substrate and the periphery of the reacting area is open, and a working electrode and a reference electrode of different electrodes are disposed between the insulating substrates, and the electrodes are extended to one end of the reacting area and covered by a reacting enzyme. During a test, an end of the electrode having no reacting enzyme is inserted into a testing instrument, and the reacting area is open and the opening has no limit on the position, so that the test sample (such as blood) can be absorbed from the reacting area into the reacting area in any direction, and the reacting enzyme will be dissolved into the test sample quickly. The electrodes use an oxidizing matter or a reducing matter to have a dedicated bioelectrochemical reaction with the test sample to produce an electron transfer.
