Publication number: 20220357407Abstract: A lithium-ion battery to be tested is put into a temperature chamber at a first temperature value and subjected to pulsed heating until the pulsed heating time reaches the preset pulse duration. The chamber temperature is adjusted to a second value and a capacity degradation value of the battery is obtained, so as to obtain durability of the battery. Before testing of the capacity degradation value of the battery, continuous pulsed heating is conducted. After the battery is heated for a period of time, the temperature elevation and heat dissipation of the battery will reach stable values and the temperature will no longer rise. Such pulsed heating does not require a long period of standing at low temperature. Therefore, a large amount of test time can be saved, the test period shortened, and the influence of battery temperature on battery durability can be verified through a large number of experiments.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2020Publication date: November 10, 2022Inventors: Yudi QIN, Languang LU, Yalun LI, Minggao OUYANG, Jianqiu LI

Patent number: 8909824Abstract: This invention relates to techniques for managing the transmission and reception of data fragments that contains one or more data blocks. One embodiment of the invention includes the following steps: processing the fragments sequentially, wherein each fragment has a processing index that corresponds to sequential processing of that fragment; processing each of the fragments until a termination upon meeting at least one pre-defined condition; assigning a timer to an un-terminated fragment having a lowest processing index; starting said timer having a timeout value; and running said timer until the processing of said un-terminated fragment is terminated.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2013Date of Patent: December 9, 2014Inventors: Yalun Li, William Li, Jr.

Patent number: 8386667Abstract: This invention relates to techniques for managing the transmission and reception of data fragments that contains one or more data blocks using a single timer. One embodiment of the invention includes the following steps: processing the fragments sequentially, wherein each fragment has a processing index that corresponds to sequential processing of that fragment; processing each of the fragments until a termination upon meeting a first pre-defined condition; assigning a timer to an un-terminated fragment having a lowest processing index; starting said timer having a timeout value; and running said timer until the processing of said un-terminated fragment is terminated. This invention uses only one timer for each connection and therefore reduces memory and operational needs in the management of the data fragments that are being received or transmitted.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2008Date of Patent: February 26, 2013Assignee: Sun Management, LLCInventors: Yalun Li, William Li

Patent number: 8149729Abstract: In one exemplary embodiment, a process for detecting a phone includes monitoring wirelessly transmitted traffic between first and second stations. Next, the process determines whether the traffic sent in both directions between the first and second stations are close to each other in term of traffic volume. The process identifies a total frames count of a number of frames of an identical frame size transmitted, where the number of frames is greater than any number of frames of a same size. The process calculates the percentage of the count that was just collected out of the count of the total frames. The process identifies the first station as a phone if the calculated percentage is over a first threshold and the total frames count is over a second threshold.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2009Date of Patent: April 3, 2012Assignee: AirMagnet, Inc.Inventors: Yalun Li, Chen Wang, Terrin Eager

Patent number: 7720070Abstract: An information element including a hybrid acknowledgement map format and a method for using the hybrid acknowledgement format and information element are disclosed. The hybrid acknowledgement map comprises a type flag and a content block, and the value of the type flag indicates the format of the content block. This enables the hybrid acknowledgement map to represent data using multiple formats. The information element including a hybrid acknowledgement map includes a hybrid acknowledgement map and a hybrid quantity field indicating the number of hybrid acknowledgement maps in the information element. A field or multiple fields in the information element header indicate whether or not the information element includes a hybrid acknowledgement map. Information elements using hybrid acknowledgement maps contain more acknowledgment information which reduces transmission of information elements.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2007Date of Patent: May 18, 2010Assignee: Apacewave Technologies CorporationInventor: Yalun Li

Patent number: 7616586Abstract: In one exemplary embodiment, voice quality of Voice over IP data in a wireless network is measured by first receiving at a detector in the wireless network a set of wireless frames transmitted between a first wireless device and a second wireless device in the wireless network in a predetermined time period. The wireless frames in the set carry Voice over Internet Protocol data. A rating value indicative of voice quality is determined based on the loss rate and burst rate that are determined only using frames received by the detection during monitoring.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2007Date of Patent: November 10, 2009Assignee: Airmagnet, Inc.Inventors: Yalun Li, Chen Wang, Terrin Eager

Publication number: 20060072601Abstract: The number of IP addresses required by a central office device, which is connected to a network segment and a number of customer internet devices to pass packets between the network segment and the customer internet devices, is reduced to one by using an IP address and a subnet mask that are associated with the network interface as a virtual interface. The subnet mask allows packets to be routed to the central office device, which then forwards the packets to the customer internet devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 15, 2003Publication date: April 6, 2006Inventors: Zhidan Cheng, Sandy Chang, Hua Chen, Jhaanaki Krishnan, Yalun Li

Patent number: 6687227Abstract: Systems and methods which allow the under-utilization of high-speed radio channels to be reduced significantly are provided which feature packet buffering and buffer management for a specific link segment of the end-to-end TCP connection. Dynamic rate control (DRC) is performed in a manner which transparently uses the advertised receiver window size mechanism provided within TCP, to maintain a steady stream of packets to be transported onto a long and variable delay high-speed channel. A queue is managed by dynamically relating the current size of the queue to the amount of incoming data by enlarging or shrinking the client advertised window size to the predicted buffer growth. DRC does not perform end-to-end flow control, but rather it supplements this function of TCP. The invention may be implemented as an agent of TCP in the sense that it is hidden in the middle of the network.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2000Date of Patent: February 3, 2004Assignee: Nortel Networks LimitedInventors: Yalun Li, Carl F.
