    Abstract: A smart power stage (SPS) circuit of a power converter and a current monitoring circuit thereof are disclosed. The SPS circuit includes an output stage circuit and a driver. The output stage circuit receives an input voltage and the power converter provides an output voltage and an inductor current. The driver includes a driving circuit, a monitoring signal generation circuit and a compensation circuit. The driving circuit receives a PWM signal and provides a driving signal to the output stage circuit. The monitoring signal generation circuit receives the PWM signal, input voltage and output voltage for generating a monitoring signal related to the inductor current. The monitoring signal includes a simulated current signal. The compensation circuit is coupled to the monitoring signal generation circuit. When the simulated current signal is greater than a default value, the compensation circuit generates a compensation signal superposing to the simulated current signal.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a control circuit operating in a pulse skip mode (PSM) and a voltage converter having the same, which adaptively adjust the related values in PSM through a pulse skip circuit. More specifically, the pulse skip circuit adaptively adjusts a second comparator signal indicating a second signal (related to a feedback signal with a lower gain) and/or indirectly adjusts a first comparator signal indicating a first signal (related to a feedback signal with a higher gain) to adaptively adjust the on-time of a high-side switch and the on-time of a low-side switch during PSM, thereby reducing the output current ripple.

The power control method includes the following steps: detecting a sensing temperature of a heating wire; when the sensing temperature is lower than a preset temperature, providing a first switch signal according to a ramp signal and an input signal, and adjusting an operation current of the electronic cigarette according to the first switch signal; and when the sensing temperature is higher than the preset temperature, providing a second switch signal, and adjusting the operation current of the electronic cigarette according to the second switch signal, wherein an on-time of the second switch signal is less than an on-time of the first switch signal. The invention controls the temperature of the electronic cigarette by adjusting the on-time so as to avoid overheating.

The power converter includes a first terminal, a second terminal, a third terminal, a power output stage, a heating wire switch, and a control circuit. The second terminal acts as a power output terminal. The third terminal is coupled to a heating wire. The power output stage includes a first switch. The control circuit controls an operation of the first switch and an operation of the heating wire switch. When the heating wire switch is turned on, the power output stage operates; when the heating wire switch is turned off, the power output stage stops operating, so as to control the amount of smoke.
