    Abstract: The present invention discloses an irreversible passive gripping apparatus and method. The apparatus includes: a fixed assembly, an accommodating space, a sliding assembly, a connecting rod assembly, and a clamping assembly. When the sliding assembly slides toward the clamping assembly, the clamping assembly rotates out of the interior of the accommodating space to form a clamping angle. The present invention realizes stable passive gripping and automatic locking without power input, ensures safe and reliable operation, and adapts to the tolerances of different bucket edges.
