The method comprises providing at least one multidimensional dataset having at least three dimensions formed according to a plurality of data tables associating between a plurality of persons and a plurality of roles and comprising a plurality of cells, receiving a query defining at least one factual value coordinated by at least one of the plurality of cells, the at least one factual value representing a measure defined in at least one of the plurality of data tables, deriving at least one person from the plurality of persons, the at least one person being associated with the with multidimensional dataset with the at least one cell, and outputting an indication of the at least one person in response to the query.

Abstract: System and method of simultaneously creating and managing a plurality of OLAP cubes in real time, each from a different tabular data source, comprising, for each cube, defining the table columns as either dimensions or measures of the cube using at least one of predefined semantics and data formats, generating the cube using said defined dimensions and measures, updating the cube when the respective data source is modified and deleting the cube according to predefined criteria.

Abstract: A method of retrieving data items residing in a multidimensional database, comprising the steps of: storing previously created views from said multidimensional database in a storage connected with said database; searching said stored views for all views comprising a queried metadata search string; displaying said search results; selecting a view from said displayed views; selecting one or more items from said selected view; and transferring said selected one or more item to a receiving module, whereby said transferred one or more items retain their reference to said selected view for updating purposes.
