  • Publication number: 20120050613
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method of synchronization between devices of a distribution system for distributing video streams of images. The system comprises at least three devices, including a sender and a receiver, wherein a sending device is configured to receive, from a source, a video stream presenting a source image frequency, and a receiving device is configured to control the display, at a display frame rate, of a video stream on a display device. The method comprises obtaining a common target frame rate; adapting, by the devices, a source video stream received from a source, respectively, directly or via a sending device, from the source frame rate to the target frame rate; and adjusting, on each receiver, the display frame rate so as to control a display at said target frame rate.

  • Patent number: 8018861
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for allocating at least one identifier known as routing identifier to at least one bridge (1002, 1008, 1009, 1010, 1012) of a network (1000), the said bridge comprising at least two interconnection equipment (1021, 1035) a first (1021) of which is connected to at least one first part (1014) of the said network, characterized in that each one of the interconnection equipment of the said bridge being in a “state” determined by reference to the allocation of an identifier to this interconnection equipment, the said method includes the following steps: determination (1041, 1042; 1051, 1052, 1053; 1056, 1057) of at least one “state” which corresponds to the “state” of the said at least one second interconnection equipment of the said bridge, deciding (1044; 1054; 1059) as to the allocation of an identifier to the at least one first interconnection equipment of the said bridge as a function of the said at least one determined “state”.

  • Patent number: 7123614
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of data-packet transmission from a first network to a second network, one of the networks being a communications bus transporting data packets of isochronous and asynchronous types, characterised in that, with the other network being a packet-switching network, the said method includes, performed within a communications device connected to the communications bus and forming part of the packet-switching network, a step of reserving resources adapted to the types of data packets intended for the second network.

  • Patent number: 7075937
Abstract: This method applies to the transmission of information during a communication session, on a network having at least one switch, over at least one path between a so-called “source” node and a so-called “destination” node. The network is adapted to transmit data according to at least one connected mode and at least one non-connected mode. The session includes the transmission of at least one packet including on the one hand “user” data and on the other hand additional data defining notably the path on the said network which the said user data will follow. Each time a packet is received, the destination node performs: an operation of reading the said additional data (601), and an operation of determining the transmission mode (602), connected or non-connected, taking into account at least some of the said additional data.

  • Patent number: 6778543
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of controlling the synchronization in a data packet communication network (10) having at least two serial communication buses (D, E) interconnected by a bridge (PDE) and each defining successive time cycles each having a duration specific to the said bus under consideration, the said method having the following steps: detection (C3, C4) of a relative drift between the respective cycles of the said at least two serial communication buses, transmission (C10, C12; C18, C17) of a command for modifying the duration of the cycle of one of the said at least two serial communication buses, characterised in that the said method includes at least one delay phase (C6, C7; C2, D1, D2) before at least one of the preceding steps.
