Abstract: Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of smart home. Disclosed are a map data updating method, an apparatus, and a cleaning system. According to the map data updating method, map data change summary information can be determined on the basis of current map data information and cached map data information, and the map data change summary information can be sent; when receiving the map data change summary information, a mobile terminal can learn which map data of smart home devices has changed; the mobile terminal can send map data updating request information; and changed map data can be sent to the mobile terminal when the map data updating request information is received.

Abstract: A data processing method includes obtaining a total cleaning area of at least one region to be cleaned, obtaining an actual cleaned area explored by a cleaning device in performing a cleaning action in the at least one region updating the total cleaning area based on the actual cleaned area and determining, using i cleaning area as updated, a first remaining cleaning area of the at least one region where the cleaning device does not perform a cleaning action.
