  • Publication number: 20080185525
Abstract: A method and device are revealed to non-invasively identify hidden foreign objects in proximity of living tissue. More specifically to a method and device find a foreign object hidden under the clothes of a person by measuring an anomaly in an infrared radiation signal emitted by the human subject; the anomaly caused by the presence of the foreign object. A spectral scan at the identified location is used to identify the object. Even when the object is hidden behind clothes, the object is positively identified based on the interaction of optical radiation naturally emitted by the human body in the infrared frequency spectrum with every component of the examined object.

  • Publication number: 20070073156
Abstract: A device and method to non-invasively identify pathological skin lesions. The method and device detect and identify of different kinds of skin nevi, tumors, lesions and cancers (namely, melanoma) by combined analyses of visible and infra-red optical signals based on integral and spectral regimes for detection and imaging leading earlier warning and treatment of potentially dangerous conditions.

  • Publication number: 20030020916
Abstract: System for inspecting a surface, the system including a light source, a first transparent mirror, and a detector, wherein the light source projects a first light beam on the first transparent mirror, the first transparent mirror reflects the first light beam towards the surface in a direction normal to the surface, and wherein the detector detects a second light beam reflected from the surface, in a normal direction, through the first transparent mirror.
