    Abstract: Photocatalysts and methods of using photocatalysts for producing hydrogen from water are disclosed. The photocatalysts comprise photoactive titanium dioxide particles having an anatase to rutile ratio of greater than or equal to 2:1 and silver, palladium, and gold metal material deposited on the surface of the photoactive titanium dioxide particles. The molar ratio of gold to palladium is from 0.1 to 5 and the molar ratio of gold to silver is from 0.1 to 3.
