    Abstract: A method that selects an error-correction code for use in a multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) wireless communication system is disclosed that optimizes the performance of the MIMO wireless communication system. The method selects the error-correction code according to at least one system parameter and at least one channel parameter of the MIMO wireless communication system, such that the selected error-correction code matches the hardware configuration and channel setting of the MIMO wireless communication system.
