  • Publication number: 20040157482
Abstract: A connector is provided for connecting a flexible printed circuit board and a hard board. The connector includes a mounting member fixed to the hard board, bump contacts on contact portions of the flexible printed circuit board, an elastic member on the surface of the flexible printed circuit board on the opposite side of the bump contacts, and a pusher member for urging the printed circuit board and the elastic member toward the hard board. When the pusher member is urged toward the hard to cause the pusher member to engage the mounting member, the flexible printed circuit board is connected to the hard board to electrically connect the flexible and hard boards. In fixing the mounting member to the hard board, first a protrusion plate of the mounting member is sucked to the hard board to set the mounting member onto the hard board and the mounting member is arranged in place on the hard board.
