    Abstract: A mutation site of an ideal brittle culm mutant ibc in rice, a controlling gene IBC, and use thereof are provided. The present disclosure further provides an encoded protein of the controlling gene IBC, a recombinant construct, a recombinant host cell, a method for embrittling culms in a rice ripening stage by using the controlling gene IBC, and use thereof. In a mutant with allelic variation in the gene IBC and loss of gene editing function, culms exhibit a brittle culm phenotype at the late ripening stage, leaves are not brittle, yield traits are excellent, and other agronomic traits are not obviously changed.

    Abstract: A sodium alginate-gelatin based biochar multivariate composite material, a preparation method therefor and a method for removing cadmium in water body are provided and relate to the technical field of biochar adsorbent materials. The sodium alginate-gelatin based biochar multivariate composite material has a high and stable removal efficiency for cadmium divalent cation (Cd2+) in a potential of hydrogen (pH) range of 4-7 in the water body, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 86.25 (milligrams per gram) mg/g. The composite material of the disclosure has good recyclability. After five regeneration tests, the adsorption capacity of the composite material for Cd2+ can still reach 70% of the initial adsorption capacity. The preparation method of the disclosure has simple process, easy control, low manufacturing cost, and is suitable for large-scale production and application.

The metadata prediction is used to annotate the document and display to users. The system receives user feedback via the user interface and uses the user feedback to evaluate or retrain the model. The system generates training data by receiving a set of annotated documents and comparing the annotated documents against other documents to identify matching documents. The system determines when to execute the machine learning based metadata prediction based on steps of document workflow executed by the system.
