  • Patent number: 11573140
Abstract: This invention relates to force/torque sensor and more particularly to multi-axis force/torque sensor and the methods of use for directly teaching a task to a mechatronic manipulator. The force/torque sensor has a casing, an outer frame forming part of or connected to the casing, an inner frame forming part of or connected to the casing, a compliant member connecting the outer frame to the inner frame, and one or more measurement elements mounted in the casing for measuring compliance of the compliant member when a force or torque is applied between the outer frame and the inner frame.

  • Publication number: 20220184818
Abstract: A gripper may include a plate, a suction manifold, one or more attachment mechanisms, and one or more suction cups. The plate may have a body and one or more extremities and each extremity may have one or more slots formed therethrough. The suction manifold may be connected to the body of the plate. The one or more suction cups may each be attached to the plate via one of the attachment mechanisms and may be fluidly connected to the suction manifold. The attachment mechanisms may each extend through one of the slots of the plate. Each attachment mechanism may be configured to be tightened, loosened, and repositioned by hand.

  • Publication number: 20210213607
Abstract: In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a robot gripper with a closing mechanism that while providing a desirable closing speed avoids exerting a force on the rigid object which is greater than the holding force required to hold the rigid object in the gripper. In another aspect, the present invention provides a robot gripper capable of detecting a slip or loss of an object held by the gripper. In an alternative aspect, the present invention provides a robot gripper capable of being hand guided. In another aspect, the invention provides a robot gripper brake drive circuit with faster operation. In one other aspect, the invention provides a connector for connecting a robot end effector to a robot arm with an adjustable cable.

  • Patent number: 10875187
Abstract: A robotic arm mounted camera system allows an end-user to begin using the camera for object recognition without involving a robotics specialist. Automated object model calibration is performed under conditions of variable robotic arm pose dependent feature recognition of an object. The user can then teach the system to perform tasks on the object using the calibrated model. The camera's body can have parallel top and bottom sides and adapted to be fastened to a robotic arm end and to an end effector with its image sensor and optics extending sideways in the body, and it can include an illumination source for lighting a field of view.
