  • Publication number: 20230314317
Abstract: A method for material classification of an object. The method contains the steps of measuring, by a first light sensor, an intensity of a first light signal from an object; measuring, by a second light sensor, an intensity of a second light signal from the object; inputting features related to the intensity of the first light signal and features related to the intensity of the second light signal into a neural network; calculating by the neural network, for each of a plurality of possible classes of material, a probability of the object containing the material of the class; and determining a material of the object based on one of the plurality of possible classes of material that has a highest probability. Embodiments of the invention provide an automatic solution of material classification based on neural network, which achieves a high successful recognition rate of the material.

  • Publication number: 20230306616
Abstract: A method for capturing and analyzing a motion of a user includes capturing a motion of a user represented by an RGB moving image and depth data, obtaining 2D skeletal data based on the RGB moving image, converting the 2D skeletal data to 3D skeletal data by mapping the 2D skeletal data with corresponding depth data, determining one or more key poses of the motion of the user based on a preset condition for each of the key poses, obtaining the one or more key poses of the motion of the user and segmenting a motion sequence by the key poses into segments, sampling each segment and aligning each segment with a corresponding segment of a set of standard key poses, and comparing trajectories obtained based on the aligned segments between the one or more key poses of the motion of the user and the set of standard key poses.

  • Publication number: 20220155092
Abstract: A method of navigating a visually impaired user, a navigation system and a guiding robot used in the system. The method includes the steps of: receiving a plurality of location referencing signals from a plurality of signal sources; processing the location referencing signals to determine a current location of the user in a predetermined area; planning an optimal path for the user to travel from the current location to a destination location; providing guiding information associated with the optimal path to the user; obtaining a travel instruction from the user to travel along the optimal path; and moving a guiding robot according to the travel instruction provided by the user along the optimal path until the next travel instruction is required to further move the guiding robot.

  • Patent number: 10108845
Abstract: Using multiple imaging modes in whole slide image screening is potentially useful to reduce false positives. To use multiple imaging modes, a method for locating anomalies on a medical sample from an image thereof uses an anomaly-detection process that comprises using plural base classifiers individually to classify an object-of-interest suspected to be an anomaly. Each base classifier respectively extracts features of the object-of-interest and generates, according to the extracted features, a score indicating a likelihood of the object-of-interest being anomalous. The anomaly-detection process further comprises using an aggregate classifier to combine the scores generated by the base classifiers to determine whether the object-of-interest is the anomaly.
