  • Patent number: 10191112
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a method that provides for pre-production run development of a fail signature database, which stores fail signatures for systematic defects and corresponding root causes. The fail signatures in the database is subsequently accessed and used for a variety of purposes. For example, the fail signatures are evaluated and, based on the results of the evaluation, actions are taken to prevent specific systematic defects from occurring during production runs and/or to allow for early detection of specific systematic defects during production runs. In some embodiments, following production runs, new fail signatures from failing production chips are developed and compared against the fail signatures in the fail signature database. In some embodiments, when a signature match indicates that a particular production chip has a same systematic defect with a same root cause as a particular prototype chip in-line advanced process control (APC) is performed.

  • Publication number: 20180287382
Abstract: The example embodiments are directed to a system and method for forecasting load flexibility of a power grid. In one example, the method includes receiving temperature values associated with temperature set points of a plurality of loads that are included on a power grid, forecasting a flexibility of the plurality of loads using a polynomial-time mixed-integer non-linear programming (MINLP) optimization based on the received temperature values for the plurality of loads, and outputting information about the forecasted flexibility for display to a display device. The MINLP optimization performs the forecasting of the load flexibility on a fine-grained basis in comparison to conventional methods and is still fast enough that it can be computed in real-time.

  • Publication number: 20180240955
Abstract: The present invention discloses CrN thermoelectric material and its preparation method, which belongs to the field of thermoelectric materials. Here, we provide a study for thermoelectric properties, hardness, wear-resisting performance and thermal stability of CrN. These results show that CrN possesses excellent mechanical properties and thermal stability. The hardness of the bulk CrN sample is as high as 735.76 HV, which is far superior to most of thermoelectric materials. The thermogravimetric analysis test indicates that CrN remain stable at 873 K. Friction and wear test results demonstrate that the low friction coefficient (˜0.42) and good wear resistance of CrN. The maximum ZT value of 0.104 is observed at 848 K. In this way, CrN may be a promising thermoelectric material in extreme environment application which requires both mechanical and thermoelectric properties. Such as collision avoidance systems and outerspace.
