  • Patent number: 12047930
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that may allow a base station and user equipment (UE) to be in agreement on spatial quasi co-location (QCL) assumptions for transmission in certain scenarios. The techniques may be used, for example, to determine QCL assumptions for downlink transmissions sent in an initial control resource set (CORESET) on an initial downlink bandwidth part (BWP) where dedicated signaling of such assumptions may be lacking. In some cases, the techniques may involve a UE determining a beam to use for monitoring for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission on the initial CORESET in the initial downlink BWP that lacks dedicated signaling of QCL information and monitoring for the PDCCH on the initial CORESET in the initial BWP using the determined beam. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

  • Publication number: 20240233134
Abstract: A weakly-supervised framework for segmenting a three-dimensional (3D) medical image incorporates information of geometric prior and contrastive similarity in a loss-based fashion for enhancing distinguishability of an organ in presence of complex organ shape and image artifacts (e.g., low-contrast tissues) in the image. Training images with bounding-box annotations are used to train the framework. The geometric prior is advantageously built on point-cloud representations, which are much more fine-grained and flexible than volume representations, thus serving as better supervision than an inherent property of the bounding-box annotations (i.e. height and width). Furthermore, using contrastive similarity encourages organ pixels to gather around in a contrastive embedding space. It helps more-effectively distinguish low-contrast tissues from the background than using the conventionally-used gray space.

  • Publication number: 20240231674
Abstract: A technique is disclosed for managing abort tasks in a metro cluster that includes a first array and a second array. The technique includes receiving, by the first array, a write request from a host, the write request specifying a range of data to be written to a stretched volume. The technique further includes receiving an abort task from the host for aborting the write request. In response to receipt of the abort task, the technique further includes the first array delaying a successful response to the abort task back to the host until the first array receives a notification that the second array has locked the range of data specified by the write request.

  • Patent number: 11983631
Abstract: A computer determines a solution to a nonlinear optimization problem. A conjugate gradient (CG) iteration is performed with a first order derivative vector and a second order derivative matrix to update a CG residual vector, an H-conjugate vector, and a residual weight vector. A CG solution vector is updated using a previous CG solution vector, the H-conjugate vector, and the residual weight vector. An eigenvector of the second order derivative matrix having a smallest eigenvalue is computed. A basis matrix is defined that includes a cubic regularization (CR) solution vector, a CR residual vector, the CG solution vector, the CG residual vector, and the eigenvector. A CR iteration is performed to update the CR solution vector. The CR residual vector is updated using the first order derivative vector, the second order derivative matrix, and the updated CR solution vector. The process is repeated until a stop criterion is satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20240111164
Abstract: A display system may include a wearable display for rendering a three-dimensional virtual image content which appears to be located in an environment of a user of the display. The relative positions of the display and one or more eyes of the user may not be in desired positions to receive, or register, image information outputted by the display. For example, the display-to-eye alignment may vary for different users and/or may change over time (e.g., as a user moves or as the display becomes displaced). The wearable device may determine a relative position and/or alignment between the display and the user's eyes by determining whether features of the eye are at certain vertical positions relative to the display. Based on the relative positions, the wearable device may determine if it is properly fitted to the user, and position render camera(s) accordingly to present virtual image content.

  • Publication number: 20240104965
Abstract: Some embodiments of this specification provide face liveness detection computer-implemented methods, devices, and media. In an example, multiple face images continuously captured for a first user are obtained. Two face images are selected from the multiple face images for a target attribute in one or more predetermined image attributes, where a degree of difference between two attribute values of the target attribute corresponding to the two face images satisfies a predetermined criterion. Both of the two face images are input into a pre-trained face liveness detection model corresponding to the target attribute to obtain a detection result corresponding to the target attribute.

  • Publication number: 20240094528
Abstract: A wearable device may include a head-mounted display (HMD) for rendering a three-dimensional (3D) virtual object which appears to be located in an ambient environment of a user of the display. The relative positions of the HMD and one or more eyes of the user may not be in desired positions to receive, or register, image information outputted by the HMD. For example, the HMD-to-eye alignment may vary for different users and may change over time (e.g., as a user moves around and/or the HMD slips or is otherwise displaced). The wearable device may determine a relative position or alignment between the HMD and the user's eyes. Based on the relative positions, the wearable device may determine if it is properly fitted to the user, may provide feedback on the quality of the fit to the user, and may take actions to reduce or minimize effects of any misalignment.

Abstract: Features described herein generally relate to learning and recognizing object-centered routines. Particularly, object-centered routines can be learned and recognized by collecting data corresponding to a user. The data can include information representing interactions by the user with respect to objects in an environment. The routine can be learned by presenting a visual graph to the user. The user can define nodes associating an interaction with an object, specify a relationship between nodes, and arrange the nodes into segments. The visual graph can be stored, and a routine can be recognized based on the visual graph.
