    Abstract: A method comprises receiving streaming data in the form of peak readings developed from spectrum data produced by multiplexed optical sensors of one or more optical fibers. The streaming data comprises wavelength and intensity data associated with the sensors. The method comprises determining, for a particular fiber, whether a number of the peak readings is the same as, or differs from, an expected number, N, where N corresponds to a total number of sensors of the particular fiber. The method also comprises correcting anomalous streaming data in response to determining that the number of the peak readings differs from the expected number, N. The method further comprises storing nominal wavelength and intensity streaming data and the corrected wavelength and intensity streaming data in a structured data table indexed by fiber ID and sensor ID.

    Abstract: A system includes a sensor network comprising a network of optical sensors coupled to structural members of a structure loaded by vehicles or by an environmental event. A processor is operatively coupled to the sensor network. The processor is configured to receive the strain measurements from the network of optical sensors, calculate total strain energy using the received strain measurements, detect a heavy load on the structure in response to the total strain energy exceeding a total strain energy threshold developed for the structure, and determine whether the heavy load results from a superload vehicle or the environmental event. A transmitter is operatively coupled to the processor and configured to transmit one or both of an alert and a condition assessment report for the structure to a predetermined location in response to determining that the heavy load results from the superload vehicle or the environmental event.

In one embodiment, a method includes adjusting parameters of a prediction model using friction estimates and sideslip costs associated with a projected trajectory of a vehicle, the friction estimates being derived from Kalman filtering. The method also includes scaling, using the prediction model, handling limits of the vehicle for the projected trajectory according to a friction circle. The method also includes generating, by the prediction model, vehicle dynamics using a load transfer and a brake distribution, the vehicle dynamics being associated with estimated road conditions and the handling limits. The method also includes outputting, by the prediction model using the vehicle dynamics, a driving command to the vehicle for the projected trajectory.

In other aspects, the victim network node can indicate certain uplink resources to the aggressor network node, which can avoid transmitting downlink communications over the indicated uplink resources.

    Abstract: A method for adding dimensions to a visual representation is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method obtains a data set containing data in a plurality of rows and columns (i.e., dimensions). The method divides the dimensions into a plurality of groups and determines a coordinate system for each group. For each row in the data set, the method determines data points for each group in the corresponding coordinate system. The method then connects the data points for each row with lines to create a visual representation for the data set. In certain embodiments, each group in the data set utilizes a two-dimensional coordinate system. In other embodiments, each group in the data set utilizes a three-dimensional coordinate system. In yet other embodiments, a mix of two-dimensional coordinate systems and three-dimensional coordinate systems are used. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.
