    Abstract: An electronic device may have a display with an array of inorganic light-emitting diodes. The array of inorganic light-emitting diodes may be overlapped by a polarizer layer such as a circular polarizer. Alternatively, the display may be a polarizer-free display without any polarizer layer over the array of inorganic light-emitting diodes. Each inorganic light-emitting diode may be surrounded by a diffuser that redirects edge-emissions towards a viewer. A top diffuser, a color filter layer, a microlens, and/or a microlens with color filtering and/or diffusive properties may also optionally overlap each inorganic light-emitting diode. The inorganic light-emitting diodes may have reflective sidewalls to mitigate edge-emissions. In this type of arrangement, the array of inorganic light-emitting diodes may be coplanar with one or more opaque masking layers. To mitigate reflections, the display may include two opaque masking layers having differing properties or a single phase separated opaque masking layer.

An interior of the outer tube body defines a storage space for storing materials. A gas pipe is disposed in the outer tube body and is connected to an inflatable and deflatable airbag. The gas pipe is equipped with a switch. The device further includes an inner tube body sleeved within the outer tube body, a supporting piece disposed at the bottom of the outer tube body, and a connecting piece and a pressing piece positioned above the inner tube body for positioning the filling body. The device can be widely applicable to mass concrete projects, enables simultaneous filling during hole formation, broad applicability, and ensures structural integrity.

    Abstract: A display may include an array of pixels such as light-emitting diode pixels. The circular polarizer may be omitted from the display to increase efficiency. A polarizer-free display may use other non-polarizer techniques to mitigate reflections of ambient light and mitigate associated diffraction artifacts. The polarizer-free display may include a black matrix, color filter element, or pixel definition layer with tapered surfaces to make changes in reflectance associated with the subpixels more gradual. Anodes for the pixels may have non-planar upper surfaces. The pixels may have elliptical footprints with varying rotation angles arranged in a repeated unit cell. The display may overlap a sensor. In a portion of the display over the sensor, the black matrix may have openings between subpixels. The number of openings per unit area may vary across a transition region.

The shell is formed of or contains hyperbranched polyglycerol (HPG). The HPG coating can be modified to adjust the properties of the particles. Unmodified HPG coatings impart stealth properties to the particles which resist non-specific protein absorption and increase circulation in the blood. The hydroxyl groups on the HPG coating can be chemically modified to form functional groups that react with functional groups and adhere the particles to tissue, cells, or extracellular materials, such as proteins.

    Abstract: Nanoparticle compositions including one or more active agents, and strategies for enhanced delivery of the active agents, are provided. In preferred embodiments, the nanoparticles are composed of block copolymers of one or more hydrophobic polymers that form the core, and a hyperbranched polymer that forms a shell or corona. In some embodiments, the particles include an acid-sensitive, poly(amine-co-ester) (PACE) that can increase release of the active agent in acidic environments, for example within endosomes. The compositions can include one or more targeting moieties. Preferred targeting moieties include adenosine agonists and pHLIP which can enhance delivery to tumor cells. Methods of using the compositions to treat diseases and disorders of the central nervous system, for example, brain cancers such as glioma, are also provided.

    Abstract: Nanoparticles and nanoparticle-releasing vaginal rings for intermediate- to long-term delivery of drugs to the female genital and reproductive tract have been developed. The nanoparticles are loaded with drugs and coated with a sheddable poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) layer that promotes mucus penetration and then converts to an adhesive form after penetration. This platform technology readily distributes drug through the mucosa and throughout the vaginal tissue, enhances local retention of drugs within the vaginal tissue, thereby providing a sustained delivery of drugs beyond the natural shedding and turnover of vaginal mucous and epithelial cells.
