  • Patent number: 10496857
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) technology which overcomes a cross-reading problem by using visible light recognition and identification values. An RFID reader terminal includes a visible light transmitter configured to transmit a visible light signal including an identification value of the RFID reader terminal, a radio frequency (RF) receiver configured to receive an RF signal including an identification value of an RFID tag terminal and information of the RFID tag terminal from the RFID tag terminal, and a reader controller configured to determine whether the identification value of the RFID reader terminal is identical to the identification value of the RFID tag terminal. In addition, there is provided an RFID tag terminal corresponding to the RFID reader terminal.

  • Patent number: 6650911
Abstract: A sectored antenna system to optimize the distance between adjacent sensors of an array antenna in a CDMA mobile communication system in which success rate of softer handoff and antenna gain is increased and power consumption of terminals may be evenly distributed. In the CDMA mobile communication system, a cell is divided into a number of sectors. A sector antenna system comprising a number of linear array antennas, in which distance between the antenna sensors is determined in consideration of overlapping angle of beams to supply softer handoff is provided. The system also includes carrier demodulators, matched filters, a weight vector estimator, weight vector multipliers, weight vector combiners, parallel demodulators, and a signal combiner.

  • Patent number: 6249251
Abstract: In the hardware-efficient demodulator for a CDMA adaptive antenna array mechanism of a mobile radio communication system, a correlators bank receives digital baseband signals received through an antenna array of a base station and computes correlation values with a local code sequence. A beamformer receives the digital baseband signals and the correlation values from the correlators bank and calculates beamforming weight vectors. A searchers bank receives the digital baseband signals and calculates an initial acquisition and reliable timing information for a multipath search by a common work with the beamformer, which uses a beamforming algorithm. A beamforming complex multiplier for a finger performs a complex multiplication for the beamforming weight vectors and the digital baseband signals, and sums up them.

  • Patent number: 5907543
Abstract: This invention is directed to a method for allocating a call in a CDMA base station. Whenever the base station receives a report of the change in the transmission power from channel processors, the level of interference affecting neighboring cells by a cell of its own is measured. In addition, when a new call is attempted, upon comparing the measured level of interference with a predetermined reference level (a threshold value) of interference, it is determined whether a call is allowed (i.e, allocated) or not dependent on a distance between the mobile station and the base station.
