    Abstract: A novel AI-driven drug-repurposing method, DeepDrug, is used to identify a lead combination of previously FDA-approved drugs to treat AD by targeting the upstream genetic markers along the AD pathology. A three-step methodology is used. First, a heterogeneous biomedical graph is constructed comprising complex and interconnected genes, proteins, and drug information to capture the network characteristics of the AD pathology, considering the expert known associations between different AD pathways and utilizing node weighting and edge weighting and direction. Second, the curated graph is taken as an input to an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven graphical neural network (GNN) framework, with embeddings of drug and gene nodes as the outputs. Third, a drug scoring and selection analysis is conduced to generate the drug-gene scores and identify a lead combination of repurposed AD drug candidates for clinical verification.

    Abstract: A two dimensional (2D) LIDAR scanning system that uses a combination of a rotating polygonal mirror and a rotatable prism to scan an area of an object. The polygonal mirror and prism are rotated in combination to generate a scanning pattern. A pulsed laser is directed to the polygonal mirror and the prism is held in a fixed position. The polygonal mirror is then incremented a plurality of times to generate a scan line of LIDAR data. The prism is then incremented and a next scan line, e.g., up or down from the first scan line, is generated. An avalanche photodiode (APD) can read the reflections of objects for each scan point. Object reflections can be directed to the APD using either a polarizing beam splitter with a quarter wave plate, or a 50-50 beam splitter.

    Abstract: An indoor positioning method detects a moving object defines a possible location area of the moving objects according to errors calculated by received signal strength indication (RSSI) values of the moving object, and calculates RSSI moving vectors between the moving object and wireless devices according to the RSSI values to predict an exact position of the moving object according to the dependency of the RSSI moving vectors and relative angular positions of the moving object. The high relevance feature between the Co-Channel Interference (CCI) of multi-nodes and the Carrier to Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (CINR) is transformed as vectors and the vectors are compared with the RSSI moving vectors to calculate a Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) value. When the RMSE value is less than a preset threshold value, an exact position of the moving object can be obtained.
