  • Publication number: 20240049052
Abstract: A Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi) device and a transmission control method are provided. The Wi-Fi device selectively transmits at least a data division of a transmission data on a low performance link based on several parameters. The parameters include a start time point of a backoff procedure of the low performance link, a duration information associated with another Wi-Fi device on a high performance link, and some predefined exception conditions. By overhearing status of another Wi-Fi device on the high performance link, the Wi-Fi device attempts to acquire the duration information. If the duration information can be acquired, the Wi-Fi device calculates a coherent remnant-duration accordingly. Then, the Wi-Fi device determines whether the transmission data should be transmitted immediately on the low performance link, transmitted later on the high performance link, or partially transmitted on the low performance link.

  • Publication number: 20070159997
Abstract: A method of wireless security setup is introduced. The method includes a station transmitting a first packet containing a first SSID and related information; an access point transmitting a second packet containing the first SSID to inform that the connection between the station and the first SSID is built; the station transmitting a third packet by the connection with the first SSID to ask for an SSID other than the first SSID and related information; the access point transmitting a fourth packet containing a second SSID and the related information using the first SSID in response to the third packet; the station transmitting a fifth packet containing the second SSID and the related security information; and the access point transmitting a sixth packet containing the second SSID to inform the station that the connection between the station and the second SSID is built.

  • Publication number: 20070011732
Abstract: The invention relates to a network device for dispatching data packets from a transmitter on a data transmission network. The data transmission network also includes an abnormality detection module for detecting abnormality relative to the transmitter. The network device receives the data packets through an input port and transmits the data packets out through a plurality of output ports. The network device includes a port-isolating module which blocks the transmission of the data packets between the input port and some of the plurality of output ports in response to the abnormality detected by the abnormality detection module in accordance with a predetermined policy.

  • Publication number: 20060251254
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for auto setting security mechanism of WLAN. The method comprises a normal step, which enables a station and an access point to execute the communicating negotiation between them, and a security setting step, which is used to execute the security mechanism setting automatically. Moreover, the security setting step comprises a defining step, which defines a plurality of parameters of the access point and a connecting step, which enables the station to connect to the access point, the access point to broadcast the UDP packages periodically, and sets the WLAN security settings. After the security setting step, the stations and access points execute the normal step again. Another aspect of the present invention is an apparatus for auto setting security mechanism of WLAN.
