The pixel circuit includes transistors and a storage capacitor that maintains a voltage at a gate of a driving transistor masking any variation between the threshold voltages of the driving transistors used in various pixels. An alternative embodiment, modifies a leakage path from the gate of the driving transistor to the initialization voltage source. Substantial impact of the leakage is shifted from the gate to drain of the driving transistor. As a result, a substantially uniform brightness is maintained in each pixel.
