    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a touch screen and a device. The touch screen includes a bezel region and a touch region, wherein the touch screen includes an annular wire provided on the bezel region. The wire further includes at least one pair of opposing discharge terminals. The device includes the touch screen, and further includes a conductive foam configured to connect the wire and a housing of the device. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the ESD resistance of the touch screen and the device including the touch screen is enhanced, the service life of the touch screen and the device including the touch screen is extended, the stability of the touch screen and the device including the touch screen is improved, and customers will have a better user experience without any other additional risk.

    Abstract: Described is a system and method for dynamically changing a resolution level at a frame level based on runtime pre-encoding analysis of content in a video stream. A video encoder continuously analyzes the content during runtime, and collects statistics and/or characteristics of the content before encoding it. This classifies the frame among pre-defined categories of content, where every category has its own bitrate/resolution relation. The runtime encoding resolution is dynamically dependent on the target bitrate and the collected statistics and/or characteristics of the content. This achieves a high quality encode for sequences that are composed of scenes with various content complexity levels for different frames in the video streams.

The device includes an inner tube, an outer tube, and a heat exchange medium; the space between the inner tube and the outer tube forms a whole or a part of a liquid phase region; a whole or a part of space inside the inner tube forms a vaporization region; the heat exchange medium with a relatively high pressure inside the liquid phase region enters the vaporization region with a relatively low pressure while being heated in vortex flow, and flows out of the device after being vapored, so as to complete heat exchange. The device can be applied to DSG systems of the solar energy photothermal field, and can also be applied to an input-output system of a heat storage system, or the field of boiler heating. It is achieved with safe operation, low cost, and good application range.

The TFT substrate manufacturing method of the present invention uses a photoresist pattern to serve as a shielding mask to allow a metal layer to be directly oxidized, through the anodic oxidation technology, into a gate insulation layer or a passivation layer, and at the same time, forming electrode patterns of gate or source/drain. The entire operation can be conducted in room temperature and is applicable to a flexible substrate that is not resistant to high temperatures without the involvement of expensive high temperature facility, such as chemical vapor deposition, so as to greatly reduce the operation cost of manufacturing a flexible display device. The TFT substrate manufactured with the present invention shows excellent electrical characteristics and is suitable for a flexible display device.

    Abstract: An integrated polarization splitter and rotator (PSR) employs the TE0 and TE1 modes of propagating light, rather than the TE0 and TM0 modes used in conventional prior art PSR. The integrated PSR exhibits appreciably flatter wavelength response because it does not require a directional coupler to de-multiplex incoming polarizations. The PSR allows tuning of the TM0 loss to reduce polarization dependent loss (PDL). This integrated polarization splitter and rotator is applicable to all integrated platforms including Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) and III-V semiconductor compound systems. The PSR may be very compact (12×2 ?m2), and provides low loss (<0.3 dB across the C-band) and ultra-broadband operation. The PSR also affords better control of polarization dependent losses.

    Abstract: A polymer or other substrate optimized for growing cells is described, which takes the form of a micro-thin bag with gas permeable sides. Sides of the bag can be held at a fixed distance from one another with a multitude of tiny micropillars or other spacers extending between them, keeping the bag at a predetermined thickness and preventing the bag from collapsing and the sides from sticking together. In other embodiments, the sides may be held apart by gas pressure alone. A 0.01 ?m to 1000 ?m parylene or other biocompatible coating over the bag outsides controls the permeability of the bag material and provides a bio-safe area for cell growth. An alternate configuration uses open-cell foam with skins coated with a biocompatible coating. Tubes going into multiple bags can be connected to a manifold that delivers gaseous oxygen or removes carbon dioxide and other waste gases.
