  • Patent number: 5520478
Abstract: A road intersection comprising a main road having at least two traffic lanes in each direction and an inside and an outside lane in each direction having parallel center lines, and a secondary road having at least one traffic lane in each direction intersecting said main road. There is provided a traffic island in the intersection extending parallel to and disposed between the inside lanes of the main road so as to block the lanes of the secondary road. A pair of opposed detour roads is disposed on either side of the intersection, and each detour road is located vertically above or below the main road in a manner such that the land space lying vertically under each detour road is substantially within the boundaries of the land space lying vertically under the main road.

  • Patent number: 4986692
Abstract: An intersection of a main road and a branch road is described. A safety island is provided longitudinally parallel to the main road at the center line of the intersection. The safety island prevents cars from the branch road to cross the intersection. Circular detour roads beneath or above the main road are provided for traffic circulation. • Patent number: 4627539
Abstract: A transporting apparatus comprises a bottomless container case, a removable railing bottom plate, and a removable railing rack. Goods are piled on the railing rack in a size according to the size of the bottomless container case. Quick and automatic connection means are provided therebetween both the removable railing bottom plate and the open end of the bottomless container case for quickly and automatically connect the former to the latter. When the bottomless container case is put to cover the goods on the railing rack and the railing bottom plate is inserted into the bottomless container case through a slot on the lowest sidewall of the container case, entire goods will be transferred from the railing rack onto the railing bottom plate automatically after the bottomless container case together with the railing bottom plate have been hoisted away from the railing rack to transport.

  • Patent number: 4267900
Abstract: An emergency escape system designed for use with multistory buildings. The system comprises generally a vertical zigzag track formed by a plurality of special contour structures, each structure having three plies of plate mounted in parallel relationship adjacent to outside wall of the building and having a plurality of parallel branch tracks extending laterally and slightly upwardly from the vertical track to an exit tunnel at each floor of the building. A number of loader cars for carrying escapees or properties from each exit tunnel along the track to escape, each car having four universal wheels underneath the bottom of the car and two parallel axles perpendicularly fixed at the upper and the lower end back side of the car, a set of several ball bearing rollers connected each other by specially curved springs is rotatorily mounted on each axle for supporting and traveling along the tracks.

  • Patent number: 4207965
Abstract: An emergency escaping device of this invention consists of a continuous W shape metallic tracks vertically mounted alongside the outer wall of a building or between buildings. Said tracks having their interval branches of inlet tracks adjoining to the exit of each floor of the building or buildings and, a number of loader cars for carrying persons or properties from all floors to glide down along the same tracks. Said tracks equipped with automatic sequence controls thereon to keep said loader cars one by one safely gliding onto the ground in case of emergency. The tracks can be made in rolls of flexible material and the cars can be made of jacket style for individual personnel to escape from windows if there is no metallic tracks installation.
