Abstract: At least one of the present embodiments generally relates to an apparatus and a method for enhancing the figure of merit (zT) in composite thermoelectric materials using aerogel such as e.g., silicate/silica aerogel, carbon aerogel, chalcogenide aerogel and metal oxide aerogel. For example, the present embodiments provide apparatuses and methods for the addition of aerogels to two commonly used p and n type thermoelectric materials and thereby enhancing their thermoelectric figure of merits to record levels.

Abstract: A coffee lubricant having nanoparticles is provided. It consists of 36 to 40 wt % of glycerin, 1 to 7 wt % of gum arabic, 0.3 to 1.3 wt % of nanoparticles, and remaining part of coffee biofuel. In which, the nanoparticles are CuO. The coffee biofuel is extracted from coffee dregs and has a viscosity of 60 to 70 cSt at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. It can reduce the friction coefficient and operating temperature. In addition, it can replace the mineral oil.

Abstract: A system and method for adjusting image parameters of cameras first determines if there are disqualified cameras whose image parameters need to be adjusted according to an image quality of the captured image of each camera, outputs the captured image of each of qualified cameras whose image parameters do not need to be adjusted, determines if the image parameters of each of the disqualified cameras are adjusted through a network. The image parameters are updated by each of the disqualified cameras itself if the image parameters of the disqualified camera are not adjusted through the network, or the image parameters of each of the disqualified cameras are updated by the computer using a broadcast mode or a non-broadcast mode with user-defined values if the image parameters of the disqualified camera are adjusted through network.
