  • Publication number: 20240004025
Abstract: The present technology provides a system and a method for terminal positioning.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 19, 2021
    Publication date: January 4, 2024
Applicant: FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCH AND BUSINESS, SEOUL NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

  • Patent number: 10883618
Abstract: A valve coupling for joining pipe elements includes a valve housing surrounded by coupling segments. Projections extend from the segments and engage channels in the valve housing. Engagement between the projections and the channels guides the segments as they are drawn together to engage the pipe elements and secures the valve housing between the segments.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 18, 2016
Date of Patent: January 5, 2021
    Assignee: Victaulic Company
    Inventor: Yang Bae Park
  • Patent number: 10760698
Abstract: A seal for a coupling joining pipe elements has angularly oriented ramp surfaces on an outer surface. The ramp surfaces are arranged in diametrically opposite pairs which are positioned at the three o'clock and nine o'clock positions at the interface between segments forming the coupling. The ramps are expected to mitigate pinching of the seals between the segments as the segments are drawn together, compressing the seals to form a fluid tight pipe joint.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 18, 2016
Date of Patent: September 1, 2020
    Assignee: Victaulic Company
    Inventor: Yang Bae Park
  • Patent number: 10753496
Abstract: A valve or a valve coupling has a closing member rotatably mounted within the bore of a housing. The valve closing member is mounted on tapered shafts. The shafts may be stepwise tapered, or a portion of the shafts may be tapered. The ends of the shafts having the larger diameters engage lugs on the valve closing member and the ends having the smaller diameters extend from the housing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 18, 2016
Date of Patent: August 25, 2020
    Assignee: Victaulic Company

  • Publication number: 20170146170
Abstract: A combination valve and coupling has a retainer in the form of a ring which engages a seal. The seal engages the valve closing member and is captured within a pocket in the valve housing by the ring. The ring has tabs in spaced relation about its outer perimeter which engage dogs on the valve housing to retain the ring in contact with the seal. The stiffness of the tabs may be tuned to provide flexibility to the ring and permit the seal to deform when the valve is opened and closed. The tabs have angularly oriented surfaces which engage the dogs and cause axial motion of the ring upon its rotation to adjust the preload between the ring and seal.
