    Abstract: The present application relates to the technical field of glass, in particular to an optical glass and a preparation method and application thereof. The optical glass comprises the following oxide component with the following weight percentage content, La2O3: 30%-40%; Ga2O3: 15%-25%; Nb2O5: 8%-18%; TiO2: 5%-10%; HfO2: 5%-10%; Ta2O5: 5%-10%; SiO2: 5%-10%; BaO: 2%-6%; RF3: 1%-3%, R may be one or both of La and Ga; and C: 0.005%-0.02%. The optical glass has a refractive index equal to or greater than 2.0, an internal transmittance at 440 nm equal to or greater than 93%, and a water resistance stability of grade 1, and can be used in the fields of virtual reality, digital cameras and vehicle display.
