  • Publication number: 20260043152
Abstract: A method for preventing salt precipitation in zero-gap CO2 reduction electrolyzers utilizes an ammonium salt solution as electrolyte. For CO2 reduction operation, CO2 gas and/or the ammonium salt solution is fed to the cathode chamber comprising a gas diffusion electrode, while the ammonium salt solution is fed to the anode chamber also comprising a gas diffusion electrode. This use of an ammonium salt solution effectively prevents salt precipitation within the pores of the cathode gas diffusion electrode, thereby improving the selectivity of electrochemical CO2 reduction products.

  • Publication number: 20220048932
Abstract: A process for continuous purification of high-purity trimethylaluminum is provided. The process includes preparing a membrane separator, which is placed vertically for use, and arranging a condenser tube inside of the membrane separator and a heating tube outside of the membrane separator, and a disperser at the top of the membrane separator for dispersing a liquid. The liquid naturally flows down along the inner wall of the heating tube by gravity to form a membrane. The process further includes concentrating liquid components having a low boiling point which are collected by the condenser at different stages and concentrating liquid components having a high boiling point which are collected by the heating wall.

  • Patent number: 9056940
Abstract: The invention provides polyester polyol compositions and resin blends, useful as components of polyurethane and polyisocyanurate polymers, produced from cyclohexane oxidation reaction byproducts, such as water extracts and non-volatile distillation residues from the reaction. Such byproducts of industrial processes for preparation of adipic acid and caprolactam, important intermediates in the production of various types of nylon, have hitherto largely been used only as fuels. The present invention provides value-added products, methods for making, and methods for using the byproduct-derived polyester polyol compositions. For example, the invention provides polyurethane (PU) and/or polyisocyanurate (PIR) polymers made using the polyol compositions and polyfunctional isocyanates. The PU and PIR polymers can be used as adhesives, binders (e.g., for wood fibers), coatings (e.g., for controlled release fertilizers), and foams.
