    Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) magnetic particle imaging (MPI) method and system without rotating a field-free line (FFL) are disclosed. In accordance with the method, an FFL is generated such that magnetic particles in a region far from the FFL enter a magnetic saturation state. Further, a non-uniform mixed-frequency excitation magnetic field parallel to the FFL is applied to generate intermodulation response signals. In addition, the intermodulation response signals are acquired, amplified and filtered. Moreover, the intermodulation response signals are transmitted to a digital signal processing unit and an image reconstruction unit, and an encoding matrix is constructed. Additionally, a one-dimensional (1D) concentration distribution of the magnetic particles is reconstructed based on the encoding matrix and an actually measured voltage signal. The FFL is driven for line-by-line scanning along a vertical plane of the FFL, thereby achieving 3D imaging.

    Abstract: A technique serves information items associated with at least two item-serving modes using shared resources. For example, the technique delivers dynamic search ads in a dynamic search ad (DSA) mode using processing resources that were originally developed for serving text ads in a text ad (TA) mode. In a first aspect, the technique repurposes a part of the TA-mode processing flow to find a set of landing pages associated with a query. In a second aspect, the technique performs further processing based on output results generated by the TA-mode processing flow, with the objective of identifying a set of landing pages associated with the query. Overall, the technique reduces the consumption of resources in the serving of ads, and simplifies the maintenance of an ad-serving system. The technique also allows one mode to use algorithmic advances developed for use in another mode.

A fibroblast which has been subjected to external stimulation in a body cavity contains an activated negative regulatory receptor PEAR1. The deletion of the fibroblast PEAR1 can significantly promote in vivo mucosal adhesion formation. A PEARI agonist can specifically inhibit fibroblast activation, synthesize an extracellular matrix, and ameliorate the adhesion lesion. By administering the PEARI agonist, the formation of adhesion can be effectively prevented. Also provided is a PEARI agonistic antibody that does not affect the repair and healing of normal tissue and does not cause the tissue to be in an anoxic state. Moreover, the antibody drug has a long half-life, is easily diffused, has few side effects, and has a convenient route of administration.
