  • Patent number: 10041473
Abstract: A method of optimizing the power recovered by a wind turbine by reducing the mechanical impact on the structure is disclosed. A first angle of inclination of the blades allowing the recovered power to be optimized is determined. The aerodynamic force produced on the nacelle when the blades are directed with a first angle is determined. A second angle of inclination of the blades allowing obtaining an aerodynamic force setpoint value is then determined by inverting the aerodynamic force model and using a wind velocity measurement, a rotor velocity measurement and the aerodynamic force setpoint value. Finally, the blades are directed to the second angle.

  • Patent number: 9556780
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for diagnosing a particulate filter by means of a soot sensor, the method being based on the direct analysis of the temporal signal supplied by the soot sensor (CAP) and the use of the available quantities (PAR) in the control unit of the heat engine. These data allow for a classification (CLA) of an indicator correlated to the cumulative quantity of soot (RES) in a multidimensional space (GRA). Based on the classification (CLA), the existence of a failure of the particulate filter is determined.

  • Publication number: 20150355284
Abstract: The invention is a method of using a system for storing electrical power which minimizes aging of the system. An optimal profile of use is defined to minimize the aging of the system. An initial profile of use is chosen. A dynamic model of aging of the system is defined which modes the losses of electrical capacity and/or power of the system as a function of time. Next, by use of the dynamic model of aging, an aging indicator is determined for the system after this profile has been applied to the system. Last, the profile of use is modified and the step of calculating the indicator is reiterated until a minimal aging indicator is obtained. The optimal profile is then applied to the system for storing electrical power.

  • Patent number: 8838278
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system for controlling the production of a mixture of constituents, especially a mixture with premix dead volumes. By correcting the matrices for calculating the mixture constituents, used in calculating recipes, by introducing limit, order relationship and equality constraints, it is possible to avoid the drifts observed in certain special cases by the implementation of the method and to improve, on the one hand, the diagnostic assistance and the control of the estimation of the properties so as to limit the deviations from the actual quality of the constituents of the mixture and, on the other hand, the speed of manufacture of the mixture and the robustness of the method. The method and the system according to the invention ensure multivariable regulation feedback by a dynamic observer providing an estimate in real time of the properties of the constituents of the mixture, said estimate being sufficient to guarantee the effectiveness of the feedback loop.

  • Publication number: 20140257725
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of determining the residual capacity of an electrochemical cell for an electrical energy storage using a no-load voltage model of the cell which is parameterized so that the parameter represents the aging of the cell. Parameterizing the model is achieved from a series of measurements performed on the battery, comprising at least a voltage measurement, a temperature measurement and a current measurement of the cell.

  • Patent number: 8827543
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for controlling the production of a mixture of components, especially a mixture with premix dead volumes. The method and the device according to the invention ensure multivariable regulation feedback by a dynamic observer providing an estimate in real time of the properties of the components of the mixture, said estimate being sufficient to guarantee the effectiveness of the feedback loop. Thus, the desired properties of the mixture are guaranteed despite large uncertainties in the properties of the components on the one hand, and partial knowledge of the mixing process on the other.

  • Patent number: 8418442
Abstract: Method of controlling the active regeneration of a particulate filter through dynamic control of the temperature at the outlet of an oxidation catalyst. A control law is defined for a hydrocarbon flow rate at the oxidation catalyst inlet, by means of the ratio between a temperature demand and a gain. The gain can be corrected so as to take account of the transient phenomena that occur in the oxidation catalyst during a gas flow rate variation. The temperature demand can comprise a precompensation term to compensate for the effects of a temperature variation at the oxidation catalyst inlet. The temperature demand can comprise a feedback term calculated by a controller whose parameters are automatically calculated by means of a physical model of the catalyst, during operating conditions variations. Any combination of these terms allows to define a suitable control law.
