  • Patent number: 9018576
Abstract: Disclosed is a low drop-out voltage regulator circuit with a distributed output network coupled to a pixel array for use in image sensor circuitry. The regulator circuit comprises voltage regulating circuitry and a distributed output network, wherein the distributed output network comprises drive transistors disposed along and connected between a supply track and an output track. The spatial distribution of the drive transistors improves heat dissipation within the regulator circuit, and a combination of low current flow and regulated output voltage reduces IR drop across the output track. The improved heat dissipation increases device lifespan and performance, whereas the reduction in IR drop across the output track provides better pixel response, readout uniformity, and image quality.

  • Patent number: 6211923
Abstract: A device corrects the chrominance parameters transmitted by a chrominance subcarrier of a television signal, by shifting the phase of two demodulation signals an angle, which depends upon the phase of the chrominance subcarrier. The demodulation signals are obtained from a phase-locked loop including a resistive and capacitive network having two outputs that differ by 90° with respect to each other. The device may include circuitry for individually shifting the phase of each signal provided by the RC network by adding to each signal a fraction of the other signal provided by the RC network. The fractional coefficients may be opposite to each other and depend upon the phase of the chrominance subcarrier.

  • Patent number: 6137540
Abstract: This invention relates to the color matching function used in connection with the luminance or white stretch function in a television video processor. Automatic adjustment in the amplitude of the color difference signals is provided to compensate for the effect of the stretch of the luminance signal in a provision called color matching. The general principal of color matching being, any percentage change in the amplitude of the luminance signal due to the white stretch effect, must be balanced by the same percentage changes in the color difference signal so that the ratio of the color signals can be maintained after matrixing. This accomplished by compensating the color difference signals by a varying amount that decreases with increasing the input luminance signal level when the level of the input luminance signal is above said selected threshold.
