  • Patent number: 8681854
Abstract: A method for reordering and multiplexing multimedia packets from multimedia data streams (S0, S1, . . . SN) pertaining to interrelated sessions includes a step of searching within the packets of a stream having the highest frame rate amongst said multimedia streams, for a common timing variable (TS) of the packet associated with the next frame of said multimedia data, in a predetermined order related to the encoding process with which said data were encoded, and a step of providing the packets in said predetermined order across said sessions in the order of the session interdependency. A device for performing this method is disclosed as well.

  • Publication number: 20130101164
Abstract: A method of real-time cropping of a real entity in motion in a real environment and recorded in a video sequence, the real entity being associated with a virtual entity, the method comprising the following steps: extraction (S1, S1A) from the video sequence of an image comprising the real entity recorded, determination of a scale and/or of an orientation (S2, S2A) of the real entity on the basis of the image comprising the real entity recorded, transformation (S3, S4, S3A, S4A) suitable for scaling, orienting, and positioning in a substantially identical manner the virtual entity and the real entity to recorded, and substitution (S5, S6, S5A, S6A) of the virtual entity with a cropped image of the real entity, the cropped image of the real entity being a zone of the image comprising the real entity recorded delimited by a contour of the virtual entity.

  • Publication number: 20120275468
Abstract: A transmission device (ET) is intended to be a component of a time multiplexing (RC) transmission infrastructure with at least one channel and in different transmission time slots, of multimedia contents, such multimedia contents being arranged in at least two complementary data layers. Said device (D) is responsible, in the presence of an association of a time slot to each complementary layer constituting a channel multimedia content, i) for separating the complementary layers of each multimedia content to be transmitted, ii) for chopping up the separated complementary layers into portions of selected sizes, and iii) for incorporating each portion of a layer into a burst so as to transmit each burst during a time slot associated to the layer comprising the portion it integrates.

  • Patent number: 8295352
Abstract: A process for delivering a video stream over a bidirectional wireless channel between a video encoder and a video decoder, is provided. The video frames of the video stream are encoded by determining predictions for defined partitions of the video frames, a prediction being based on at least one reference area of a reference frame of the video stream; one motion vector associated to said reference area; and a weighting factor associated to said reference area. The difference between partition and corresponding predicted partition is done to establish a partition residual, the encoded video stream with partition residual are transmitted to the video decoder to decode predicted partition, decoded partition of the video frame being formed by combination of decoded predicted partition and corresponding partition residual. A transmission error probability of the decoded partition is fed back to the video encoder.

  • Publication number: 20090323812
Abstract: Process for delivering a video stream over a wireless channel, wherein the video frames of the video stream are encoded by defining partitions of the video frames, said encoding being done by determining predictions for the partitions, a prediction being based on two reference areas (A1, A2) each of independent reference frames of the video stream; one motion vector associated to each reference area (A1, A2); and a weighting factor (W1, W2) for each motion vector; wherein the difference between partition and corresponding predicted partition is done in order to establish a partition residual, the encoded video stream with partition residuals are transmitted to a video decoder in order to decode predicted partition of the video stream by using the two reference areas (A1, A2), the motion vectors and weighting factor based on encoded weighting factor (W1, W2) balanced by a transmission error probability (PA1, PA2) computed for each reference area (A1, A2), decoded partition (M) of the video frame being formed b

  • Publication number: 20080247323
Abstract: A method of transmitting data packets over an air interface is disclosed. At least a first and second stream of data packets are multiplexed, wherein a multiplexed stream of data packets is generated. The multiplexed stream of data packets is processed by a forward error correction function, wherein the forward error correction function adds redundancy bits to the multiplexed stream of data packets, wherein a third stream of data packets is generated, and wherein the redundancy bits are used for an error control to be performed on the third stream of data packets. The third stream of data packets is then transmitted over the air interface.
