  • Publication number: 20150136119
Abstract: A method for shaping a glass sheet having a thickness Ev by applying and adhering a layer of a first material that can be subjected to traction onto a first surface of the glass sheet. The layer has a thickness E1. Either the neutral fiber of the complex moves across into the layer of the first material, the glass being then completely under compression; or the neutral fiber moves towards the first material but remains in the glass sheet, the surface of the glass being then subjected to a level of traction lower than the failure value. The complex comprising the glass sheet coated with the first layer of material is deformed, such that it is close to the final shape and the glass is mainly under compression. A stabilizing element B is applied and adhered or attached onto the complex A and of dimensionally stabilizing the final shape.

  • Patent number: 8486851
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a sintered ceramic composite, based on silicon nitride and ?-eucryptite, includes a step of producing a first powder blend, consisting of a powder of silicon nitride in crystalline form and a powder of a first lithium aluminosilicate in crystalline form, the composition of which is the following: (Li2O)x(Al2O3)y(SiO2)z, the lithium aluminosilicate composition being such that the set of molar fractions (x,y,z) is different from the set (1,1,2).

  • Publication number: 20120125571
Abstract: A device for dissipating heat, for a space-based satellite, includes at least one dissipating panel, the dissipating panel having at least one skin formed from a composite structure comprising an organic resin and carbon fibers, wherein the organic resin is filled with carbon nanotubes. The heat-dissipating device may also comprise a network of heat pipes. The heat pipes may be made from an aluminum alloy incorporating elements having low coefficients of thermal expansion. The present invention is notably applicable to fixed dissipating panels or those that may be used in telecommunications, observation or scientific satellites, or else on racks assembled to dissipating panels.
