  • Patent number: 6634792
Abstract: An anti-friction bearing device comprising an outer ring (11) provided with an outer surface and a bore on which a toroidal bearing inner race (14) is formed, an inner ring(15) which is provided with a bore and a cylindrical outer surface on which a toroidal bearing outer race (18) is formed, a row of balls (19) which are disposed between the two bearing races, and a cage which can maintain a regular circumferential spacing between the balls. The ratio between the radial thickness of the outer ring, when taken between the bottom of the bearing inner race and the outer surface of the outer ring and the diameter of the balls ranges from 0.4 to 0.7. The ratio between the radial thickness of the outer ring, when taken between the bottom of the bearing inner race and the radial thickness of the inner ring when taken between the bottom of the outer bearing race and the bore of the inner ring ranges from 1.1 to 1.6.

  • Patent number: 6406189
Abstract: Method for manufacturing a cage, of the type intended to hold rolling bodies in place in a rolling bearing comprising at least one row of rolling bodies arranged between two raceways. The said cage comprises an annular part with cells intended to accommodate the rolling bodies, the said rolling bodies being clipped into the cells and held therein by means of elastically deformable members. The cage is obtained by moulding a blend of a polymer from the polyphthalamides group and of an elastomer.

  • Patent number: 6371655
Abstract: Annular housing device intended for maintaining the circumferential spacing of the rolling elements, in particular balls, in a rolling bearing, having at least one row of balls arranged between two rolling tracks, the housing having a rear face and a front face which are axially offset and having a multiplicity of substantially spherical cells, in each of which a ball is arranged, the cells issuing axially on the front face and radially on the two sides, the front face having a multiplicity of pairs of opposite tabs for maintaining the balls in the cells. The front face comprises two surfaces axially offset relative to one another, of which an outer first surface has the tabs projecting from it and is located in a plane in front of the radial plane passing through the centers of the cells, and of which an inner second surface is located in a plane passing substantially through the centers of the cells.

  • Patent number: 6200038
Abstract: The invention concerns a cage device (17) for maintaining balls in a ball bearing comprising at least a row of balls arranged between two raceways, said cage comprising a ring-shaped part (18) axially adjacent to said balls and a plurality of slots (22) in each of which is arranged a ball, a slot being formed by a concave surface, the slots being open on the side opposite the ring and separated by spacing portions (19) extended opposite the ring by lips (21). The concave surface comprises a truncated portion (24) connected to the spherical portion (23).
