The transverse element includes at least two opposing upper transverse arms extending from a central portion and an end of each of which is attached to the upper longitudinal elements and includes a mechanism attaching at least one attachment tab of an associated headlight, at least one attachment point of the bumper, and the hood-closing abutment.
