  • Publication number: 20240352474
Abstract: The present disclosure belongs to the technical field of plant genetic engineering. An objective of the present disclosure is to increase an anthocyanidin content of a rice seed. The present disclosure provides use of ZlMYB1 and ZlMYB2 genes from Zizania latifolia in increasing an anthocyanidin content of a rice seed, where the ZlMYB1 gene has the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1; and the ZlMYB2 gene has the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 2. In the present disclosure, the ZlMYB1 and ZlMYB2 genes can be effectively overexpressed in rice. When a growth environment is consistent with that of a control plant, rice seeds from a rice plant overexpressing the ZlMYB1 and ZlMYB2 genes turn black and have a significantly increased anthocyanidin content compared with those from the control plant.

  • Patent number: 12091069
Abstract: A system and method for performing braking operations on a hyperloop pod are disclosed herein. The hyperloop pod may have a secondary braking system, wherein the secondary braking system may be operable to provide a first braking force. The hyperloop pod may have a transponder communication system and a line-of-sight system, wherein the line-of-sight system may be operable to detect a second hyperloop pod at a line-of-sight distance. The hyperloop pod may have a memory and a processor operable to detect a second hyperloop pod and determine a collision margin between the hyperloop pod and the second hyperloop pod. The hyperloop pod may engage the secondary braking system if a safety margin is equal to or greater than the collision margin.

  • Publication number: 20210034795
Abstract: Generating a layout for a transportation system. A method is provided. The method includes determining a set of destinations for a transportation system that uses a first transportation technology. The method also includes determining a set of routes. The method further includes generating a graph based on the destinations and routes. The graph comprises a set of nodes that represent the destinations. The graph further comprises a set of edges that represent a first subset of the set of routes. The set of edges are associated with a set of costs. Each cost of the set of costs represents a respective travel time when the first transportation technology is used. The method further includes updating the graph based on a second set of costs. Each cost of the set second of costs represents a respective travel time when a second transportation technology is used. The method further includes generating a layout for the transportation system based on the graph.
