  • Patent number: 12679398
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for automatic longitudinal control of a motor vehicle and to a corresponding assistance system and a motor vehicle equipped therewith or, alternatively, configured accordingly. In the method, within the scope of user-side setting of a gap for the longitudinal control, a display position for displaying a relevant gap marker by means of a head-up display is determined proceeding from the position of a vehicle in front. In response to a user input for setting a changed new gap, the previous gap marker and the new gap marker are then initially displayed simultaneously by means of the head-up display at the corresponding display positions. When the longitudinal control has achieved the new gap, the head-up display is actuated to only display the new gap marker and not the previous gap marker anymore.

  • Patent number: 12399575
Abstract: Technologies and techniques relating to a display system for a vehicle, including a first display for displaying information at a first location in the vehicle, a second display for displaying information at a second location in the vehicle remote from the first location, an operating unit for manual operation of the first display and the second display, a switching apparatus for switching between two operating states, an indicating apparatus for creating visually perceptible indications in the respective operating states, and an actuation apparatus for optically highlighting the first operating state and the second operating state by optically changing the first indication in the first operating state and/or the second indication in the second operating state by manual actuation of the actuation apparatus.

  • Patent number: 12264934
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for depicting a virtual element in a display area of at least one display apparatus of a vehicle. Virtual elements that lie outside of the display area of a display apparatus are perceptible by the driver with a certain estimation of distance, or respectively direction, in that a driver of the vehicle is signaled when the determined three-dimensional coordinates of the at least one virtual element lie outside of the display area of the display apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20240110808
Abstract: Technologies and techniques for activating a display device of a navigation system of a vehicle during a lane change of the vehicle. A lane change prompt is detected and a lane boundary for the lane change prompt is determined. A reference line is provided for the lane boundary in a field of view of the display device, and a lane change indication is provided with the aid of the reference line on the display device. The reference line may then be arranged in a field of view of the display device in such a way that the reference line is positioned in a field of view through a vehicle window of the vehicle at a certain lateral distance with respect to the lane boundary.

  • Patent number: 11845463
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a device for the improved visualization of a notice in a motor vehicle. A contact-analog head-up display places information in direct contact with the environment. In contrast to conventional head-up displays, the information appears as part of the environment. Some embodiments provide an information container that is placed at a distance x from the vehicle which grows corresponding to the reduction of the distance x, and is placed fixed relative to the environment to produce the effect of a container located in reality. The necessity of an interaction may be communicated by the element remaining stationary. That is, shortly before the position of the information container is reached, it remains immobile in the field of vision and is “pushed” in front of the ego vehicle. This makes it immediately apparent that an operation is needed to acknowledge the pop-up respectively to thereby trigger an action.

  • Patent number: 11817064
Abstract: Controlling a display in an augmented reality head-up display for a vehicle. At least one safety-relevant parameter is determined in a first step. If two or more safety-relevant parameters are determined, one of the determined parameters can optionally be selected as a critical parameter. The intensity of the display element displayed on the augmented reality head-up display is subsequently adjusted on the basis of the at least one safety-relevant parameter. The display element is then output for display on the augmented reality head-up display.
