Abstract: Electrodeposited copper foils having adequate puncture strength to withstand both pressure application during consolidation with negative electrode active materials during manufacture, as well as expansion/contraction during repeated charge/discharging cycles when used in a rechargeable secondary battery are described. These copper foils find specific utility as current collectors in rechargeable secondary batteries, particularly in lithium secondary battery with high capacity. Methods of making the copper foils, methods of producing negative electrode for use in lithium secondary battery and lithium secondary battery of high capacity are also described.

Abstract: A semiconductor device and method of fabricating the same include a substrate, a first epitaxial layer, a first protection layer, and a contact etching stop layer. The substrate includes a PMOS transistor region, and the first epitaxial layer is disposed on the substrate, within the PMOS transistor region. The first protection layer is disposed on the first epitaxial layer, covering surfaces of the first epitaxial layer. The contact etching stop layer is disposed on the first protection layer and the substrate, wherein a portion of the first protection layer is exposed from the contact etching stop layer.

Abstract: A TV data processing method includes receiving TV data, determining a program type to which the TV data belongs, detecting a signal quality of the TV data, and determining if the signal quality is larger than a threshold standard. When the signal quality is not larger than a threshold standard, the method includes processing the TV data according to the program type. Also, the method according to the present invention can assign different threshold standards to different program types respectively.

Abstract: A multimedia system includes a data information receiver, a storage device, and a processing unit. The data information receiver is for receiving data information related to input data received by the multimedia system. The storage device is for storing a first mode state parameter. The processing unit is for automatically switching the multimedia system from a second mode to a first mode according to the data information and the first mode state parameter after the multimedia system has been switched from the first mode to the second mode.

Abstract: An image saving method and a computer-readable medium thereof. First, an image with a first image resolution is saved to a memory unit. Next, a parameter corresponding to the image is requested to be inputted. Then, a saving status of the memory unit is judged. Finally, when the saving status of the memory unit approaches a threshold value, the image with the first image resolution is automatically downsized to a downsized image with a second image resolution according to the parameter.

Abstract: An apparatus for processing an input file is provided. The apparatus includes a transforming module, a combining module, and a transmitting module. The transforming module transforms the input file into an output file in a VOB (video object) format. The combining module first generates an information file corresponding to the output file and then combines the output file with the information file to generate a combined file. The transmitting module is used for transmitting the combined file generated by the combining module.
