  • Patent number: 9110651
Abstract: An electronic device includes a current detection module, two path switches, a processing unit, and two control circuits. Two terminals of the current detection module are connected to an external power port and a battery. The two path switches are connected to the two terminals. A first control circuit is connected to the processing unit and to one path switch. A second control circuit is connected to the processing unit and to another path switch. When the electronic device is powered on, whether using power from the battery or from the external power port, the device can analyze the power consumed by the functioning parts of the device, including (when power is taken from the external power port) the amount of current taken in charging the battery.

  • Publication number: 20120238316
Abstract: A mobile phone includes two different communication systems and a current table storing relationship between signal transmission power and current in relation to the two different communication systems. The mobile phone obtains two received signal strength indications (RSSI) in relation to the two different communication systems if the mobile phone requires the voice call service, and then calculates two signal transmission power in relation to the two communication system according to the two RSSI. The mobile phone searches a current table to obtain two current according to the two signal transmission power. The mobile phone compares the two current to select one of the two communication systems which needs a smaller one of the two current to provide the voice call service.

  • Publication number: 20120021696
Abstract: A data card includes a main chip, a switch, and an input/output interface. The input/output interface receives a voltage signal and a control signal, and transmits the voltage signal and the control signal to the switch. When the control signal is a first control signal, the switch switches on, and the voltage signal is transmitted to the main chip via the switch, causing the main chip to enable a universal serial bus (USB) function of the data card. When the control signal is a second signal, the switch switches off, and no voltage signal is supplied to the main chip, causing the main chip to disable the USB function.
