Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to detecting text in images. In some embodiments, a system for detecting text in images comprises a database configured to store images and a control circuit configured to retrieve an image, generate, based on the image, a collection of augmented images, detect characters in each of the augmented images, generate bounding boxes for the characters in each of augmented images, recognize the characters in each of the augmented images, select, based on the recognition of the characters in each of the augmented images, candidate characters, wherein the candidate characters are selected based on consistency of the recognition of the characters in each of the augmented images, detect, for the image, a color associated with the characters, and store, in the database, the image, the candidate characters, and the color associated with the characters.

Abstract: An esterification method for improving the dispersibility of a hydroxyl-containing nano-material is disclosed herein. The method comprises: S1, thoroughly stirring and uniformly mixing a hydroxyl-containing nano-material precursor and an organic solvent to obtain a mixture; S2, heating and fully pre-reacting the mixture in step S1; and S3, adding an acyl halide to the solution which is heated and fully pre-reacted in step S2, and then further reacting same to finally obtain a surface-modified hydroxyl-containing nano-material.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of a stability design of pressure vessels and main bearing members of nuclear engineering, and discloses a new design method for an allowable compressive stress of an axially compressed cylinder. By introducing elastic-plastic influence parameters and cylinder structure characteristic parameters, a critical buckling stress values of axially compressed cylinders under different buckling failure modes and a critical buckling stress reduction factor considering the influence of initial defects are obtained. At the same time, a design safety factor of the axially compressed cylinder is given, and a new calculation flow for the allowable compressive stress of the axially compressed cylinder is put forward. The present method is of great significance to promote the development of large-scale and lightweight axially compressed cylinders in engineering.

The acoustic resonator may also include a first electrode in contact with a first surface of the piezoelectric layer. The acoustic resonator may further include a plurality of dielectric structures in contact with the first surface of the piezoelectric layer. The acoustic resonator may additionally include a second electrode in contact with a second surface of the piezoelectric layer opposite the first surface. The first electrode may include a plurality of electrode structures. A dielectric structure of the plurality of dielectric structures may be in contact with a pair of neighboring electrode structures of the plurality of electrode structures.

Abstract: A method of using BMP9 in combination with an NK cell and a PD-L1 antibody in preparing a medicament for treating liver cancer is provided. Specifically, BMP9 is loaded on a drug carrier microbubble to give a BMP9-carrying microbubble (MB-BMP9), and administered in combination with a natural killer cell (NK cell) and a programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) antibody for treating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The present invention can significantly enhance the efficacy of existing programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) antibody therapies and significantly inhibit the growth of HCC cell graft tumors with significant efficacy.

Insulin and pancreatin can topically be applied to skin, scalp and hair to effectively treat and prevent skin or scalp from aging. Topical application of insulin can prevent skin and scalp from damages caused by oxygen free radicals and UV, promote wound healing, treat and prevent skin from complications caused by diabetes or by topical application of corticosteroids.
