    Abstract: A uracil compound containing a carboxylate fragment, a preparation method therefor, and a herbicidal composition and use thereof are provided. The preparation method includes a contact reaction between a carboxylic acid compound and different substituted alcohol, halogenated, or sulfonate compound in a presence of a solvent. The uracil compound containing a carboxylate fragment provided by the present invention has better herbicidal activity compared with the prior art.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes a lifting device and a motor assembly. The lifting device is disposed in a lifting device housing and is configured to adjust a vertical position of an optical component connected to the lifting device. The motor assembly is disposed in a motor housing and is configured to drive the lifting device to adjust the vertical position of the optical component. The lifting device housing, the motor housing, and the optical component are disposed in an ultra-high vacuum chamber of an enclosure. In the case of motor failure, the motor housing can be disconnected from the lifting device housing, and the motor assembly can be decoupled from the lifting device, such that the motor assembly can be replaced.

    Abstract: The invention provides an optical package assembly that is sealed hermitically with one or more feed-throughs with a mating ferrule. The ferrule has a head and a body, where the head in constructed in a cone shape and the body is constructed in a cylindrical shape. The ferrule is compressed at the head to hermitically sealed the fiber to the optical package and is compressed at the body to hold the fiber in place. It is apparent to one of ordinary skill in the art that the expression of compressing the ferrule can also be described as mechanically deformed the ferrule, or by other similar or equivalent terms.
