  • Publication number: 20150084738
Abstract: A system and algorithms to authenticate a person where a system only has some standard personal text data about the person, and cannot have a real biometric template obtained using an enrollment procedure. The authentication allows access to restricted resources by the person. This method is especially useful when it is used as an auxiliary authentication service with other methods such as password or Callback that dramatically lower the chances for an imposter.

  • Publication number: 20130152002
Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods for utilizing sensors of human physical features, ambient conditions, and interfacial behavior for adaptive and friendlier user interfaces for computer applications and communication environments. A user's physical characteristics, for example, age, gender, ergonometric structure and user's interfacial behavior, for example, typing speed, typing error rate and distance from the screen are used to adapt to the user needs and provide more appropriate and fitting interface. In addition, ambient conditions may be considered within the adaptation process.

  • Patent number: 7573497
Abstract: A multimedia communication system includes a host computer having an external bus and a unit external to the host computer. The unit is connected to the host computer via the external bus. The unit is configured to capture a video stream from a video input device, to convert the captured video stream according to a predetermined standard for transmitting video over a network, and to send the converted video stream to the host computer via the external bus. The system also includes a software video decoder installed on the host computer.

  • Patent number: 7283154
Abstract: Systems and methods to accept information regarding audio communication sessions (e.g., telephone calls) and, in response, initiate a videoconference and/or data collaboration session via for example data collaboration terminals associated with the audio terminals used for the audio communication sessions. The videoconferences and/or data collaboration sessions may be initiated using for example a voice call or session, for example, by using DTMF, SMS, SVD etc. The information required for the initiation of a videoconference or data collaboration session may for example be transmitted between user terminals, a centralized database may be used, or other methods may be used.

  • Patent number: 6560280
Abstract: In a video system incoming video having a given frame size is sent over a video transmission system that supports a different frame size. When a transmitting terminal in the transmission system receives the incoming video, the terminal does not scale the video to fit the transmitted frame size. Instead, the video compression encoder only encodes and sends the data associated with the incoming video. The encoder does not encode or send the rest of the standard transmitted frame. At a receiving terminal in the transmission system, all of the received data is decoded. However, because the decoded data will correspond to the original incoming frame size, this data, rather than the entire transmitted frame, is scaled to match the size of the display or the target window.
